Wonderland was all that they'd been able to talk about for weeks. It was a roving carnival of delights that would be in their town for one night only. The boys had only heard rumors about it, but it sounded like the most phenomenal fun that would have ever graced their podunk slice of the rust belt.
It was supposed to have everything: rollercoasters, tilt-a-whirls, fried ice cream... Thrills, chills, and spills! Some of the kids from their class had even talked about it having live entertainment from a famous popstar. The kids around town were abuzz about all the unspoken possibilities that would lie beyond the entry gate.
For Lars and Tucker, the date had been circled on their calendar for weeks. They'd been saving up allowances and doing as many extra chores as they could; nobody around town knew exactly what the price of admission was, but the rumor was that it was high enough to insure that the amenities within the carnival were of no cost.
Together, the two boys had managed to scrape together about a hundred bucks. It was honestly more money than either of them had ever held at once, since even for their rural area, they were on the poorer side of things.
As autumn broke, and a chill grew in the air, the day would finally come. Seemingly popping up overnight, Wonderland stood tall about a mile or two outside of town, just waiting for the grand opening. It was the only thing to talk about at school that day. People decided what kind of groups they'd be going in, but for Lars and Tucker, they'd just be rocking a duo. Nothing new for the itty-bitty shrimps of the class.
With Wonderland being so close by, the boys would use those little legs to hoof it. The temperature was pleasant and the humidity was nearly nonexistent, so it was a perfect evening to walk to the grand spectacle that they could see gleaming in the distance. As they got closer, they were able to hear the whirring of the rides, the cranking of the calliope, and the ecstatic laughter of those already inside the gates.
It looked even grander than they could have imagined, as if plucked from their most joyful fantasies and fattened up. It was unbelievable that something so vast and spectacular could have been constructed in just one night, but that was part of the magic of the roaming carnival.
"Dude, this is gonna be so sick." Tucker grinned as they got in the line at the entrance.
"Yeah, just promise you won't *get* sick when we go on the rollercoaster." Lars ribbed with a snicker.
A kid in front of them, who looked to be a grade or two older, turned and sneered. "Like you little babies will even be allowed on any rides except the carousel. Look how puny you are! The only thing here you're tall enough to ride is the diaper changing table in the bathrooms!"
The bully laughed and his goons joined in to share in his bemusement at his own 'epic' takedown. The pair were used to being teased, but it still chafed to hear it all the time; especially from a lanky doofus like this!
They wouldn't have to endure the jeering for very long, as the older kids got their wristbands and went in. That meant it was time to pay their entrance fee and have fun! Tonight was going to be--
"--A hundred bucks for each person?! That's outrageous!" Lars exclaimed as they finally got close enough to see the sign.
"That means we only have enough for one wristband, dude... What should we do?" Tucker lamented, immediately just as crestfallen as his companion.
It was a tough decision to make, but missing out on Wonderland simply wasn't an option. As it was, they would have to decide which one of them would be allowed to have a night they'd never forget. They combined their cash and bought a wristband, but they then went off to the side to figure out who would get it.
"Bro, this flippin' sucks." Tucker huffed, putting his hands into his pockets. "So, what, are we going to do a thumb war or something? Rock-paper-scissors?"
Before the finer details could be ironed out, the pair was approached out of the blue by a boy they'd never seen before. He was bigger than them, but he carried an infantile aura that made him undeniably younger; it was like looking at a Kindergartner that'd had a massive growth spurt.
"I heard you guys were having some trouble getting in." He smiled.
"Heard it from where? Who are you?" Lars asked with suspicion in his voice.
"I'm Kurt. I just heard you guys talkin' about it at the line. That you could only get one wristband."
Neither boy remembered seeing Kurt behind them when they were getting their tickets, but the crowd *had* been fairly large. They looked at one another and then back at the overgrown tot.
"...Yeah? So? You come to rub it in our face, or are you saying you can help?"
Kurt raised up his hand to show his own wristband, "Well, my mommy only gave me enough to get one for me. But, I think I could sneak one of you in, whoever isn't wearing one..."
Tucker raised an eyebrow, "Sneak us in? How? You got a jacket to smuggle us in? Or a backpack?"
"Well, not exactly...But I do have really stretchy pants."
It was a surreal moment for the boys. In any other circumstance, this would have been the moment that they both walked away and talked about how bizarre the situation was. Tonight was different though.
Maybe it was the unbridled excitement that Wonderland had caused them for so long. Maybe it was the smell of kettle corn and the gleeful shrieks of excitement that they kept hearing. Maybe Kurt was just oddly persuasive.
"...Well, even if you can sneak us in, how are we supposed to stay inside? They'll kick out whoever isn't wearing a wristband. We'd spend the whole night hiding from security!"
Kurt looked to ponder this briefly, but he returned a little too quickly with an answer, as if he'd already anticipated the rhetoric. "You two could switch off between rides. That way you both get to have fun in the park, and nobody will get kicked out."
The two boys exchanged looks again. "Maybe...But, what are you getting out of this? Why help us?"
Kurt offered a shrug, "I don't really have any friends, and it'd be fun to have some buddies to go on all the scary rides with."
The whole discussion was an absurdist farce, cooked up by the deluded fever dreams of a stark raving lunatic. It was like something out of a goofy cartoon! But why did it sound so plausible? Where had their rationality fled? What dignity could they have if they spent half their evening stuffed into the backside of the self-described 'stretchy pants' of this oddball kid?
"Fine. Let's do it." Tucker finally said, to which Lars paused and then nodded more sheepishly.
"Good! Who gets the wristband first?"
After a few moments of discussion, it was decided that Lars would be the one to first get the esteemed wristband that granted him entry. He would take the red carpet, and Tucker would be taking what could only be jokingly called the 'back entrance'.
Just as Kurt had said, his pants were stretchy like tights. Once he'd scooped Tucker up and deposited him in the back, it also came to light that Kurt had forgot to mention a crucial detail:
Kurt was swaddled in a *tremendous* white diaper.
It was crazy that they hadn't noticed until then, especially because once Lars saw it, it afterwards was dramatically obvious that this kid had padding. The tights cut the shape of the diaper quite blatantly, and with Tucker now in the back of his pants, making a bulge, it also looked like Kurt had badly pooed himself too.
As the trio entered the park, Lars bit his lip and looked over. "So, um, are you just not pottytrained or what? I don't think I've ever seen a diaper that big..."
Kurt got a coy look on his face, "Huh? Oh, yeah. I guess I left that part out. I'm pretty forgetful; probably why I'm still in diapers, I reckon."
Meanwhile, Tucker was struggling to get comfortable. Luckily for him, the diaper was still pristine, but the tautness of the tights kept him compressed against the padded wall that was the big baby's shameful undergarments.
"Uh, okay...Well, umm, try not to 'go'. Since we're going to have to be back there, y'know?"
The larger boy smiled ominously, "I'll try!"
The lacking dedication in his words didn't inspire confidence from the one who was currently pressed tight against the bulky padding. Tucker could still hear the outside world just fine, but from where he was positioned, talking was much more of a struggle. His words were badly muffled, and with how loud the carnival was, he probably wouldn't be heard very well anyway.
Lars felt bad for his friend, but he knew his own turn would be coming soon, so there was no use in pitying what would soon be his own experience. The very thought made his skin crawl, but that'd been the price of Wonderland, steep as it may be. Each of them would need to find peace in only enjoying half of the festivities.
"Okay, well, why don't we go find a line to stand in. Maybe we should start with something small?"
"The bumper cars look fun." Kurt chirped, jutting a finger ahead at the little rink set up for it. "Line doesn't look that long either!"
As the evening went on, the smaller boys would inevitably come to be perfectly fine with waiting in long lines, just to prolong the duration of the time they had outside the larger boy's immediate radius.
While playing on the bumper cars, which proved even more uncomfortable for Tucker, there would begin to be small rumblings from within Kurt's diaper. They were small toots at first: hardly audible and odorless from the protective power of the puffy padding. They would start to grow more powerful as the activity went on, until Tucker heard something he had really hoped to avoid.
He could hear crackling coming from inside of the diaper. With his ear but inches away from where the action was, Tucker was at ground zero of Kurt cutting a turd in his pants.
It couldn't be overstated how disgusted Tucker was at what was happening. His threshold for gross stuff was decidedly lower than that of his friend, and he'd never had a little sibling for a dirty diaper to become something 'normal' to him. He tried to shout for Kurt to stop, but the larger boy was too busy bumping into other kids on the rink. The warm lump, small for now, was a pungent discomfort that his nose would be far too close to for the next ten minutes.
Afterwards, the trio would find themselves in the park bathrooms, where it was time for the smaller two to switch places. Tucker looked relieved to be relieved of his post, especially after Kurt had so disgustingly 'relieved' himself. It felt like such a nightmare that he was considering calling it quits after his turn.
It would totally suck to only get to ride one attraction in Wonderland, but he genuinely wasn't sure if he could deal with getting stuffed back next to the diaper again. It wouldn't be fair to keep the wristband either, if Lars wasn't the one backing out.
Once he was out, he turned his ire toward Kurt and furrowed his brow at him. "Y-you said you wouldn't do that!"
Lars looked confused, "Do what? What are you talking about?"
"He crapped in his diaper! It was super gross!"
Kurt didn't look like he took offense at the accusation and he offered a bashful shrug. "Said I'd try. I can't help it, that's why I'm wearing a diaper in the first place."
"W-well, can't you change it?" Tucker asked, folding his arms and frowning
"Nuh-uh, I can't change myself. Mommy din't even give me any extras! These can last the whole night though; they're heavy-duty!"
"More like full of heavy doodie..."
Lars took off the wristband and gave it to Tucker, who was happy to put it on. Then, it was Lars' turn to take a ride in back, which Kurt accommodated just as easily as he had for Tucker. To Lars' credit, he was less disgusted than his friend had been, since he'd done enough farm-work before to grow used to dirty things and bad smells.
For Lars, he found the claustrophobic conditions to be more of an issue than the lightly soiled diaper. It felt nearly impossible to get completely comfortable in such a tight spot, especially when he felt almost saran-wrapped against the bulky diaper by the taut tights.
Tucker wanted to kill a little extra time before he had to worry about trading places again. He suggested to Kurt that they go grab a snack before going on the next ride and the younger boy readily agreed with a hungry pat to his tummy. They got some deep-fried junk food from a vendor, complimentary to their time in Wonderland, and sat at a bench to eat.
"I...Well, I'm not sure I can do this all night." Tucker admitted as he took a bite.
"Whatcha mean?"
"Your, um, plan. The smell was gross, no offense. I don't know if I can go back in there after every ride I get to be on."
Kurt looked thoughtful at the grievance, "Oh, I see... You're just going to let your friend have the wristband? You paid half, didn't you? And Wonderland has so many awesome rides..."
Tucker didn't look happy with the thought of paying for something that he wouldn't see the payoff for; he'd been just as excited as Lars about this night, and it was crushing to just give it all up. "Yeah, well..."
"It's your choice. I just know I'd never forgive myself if I missed out on all this. And I mean, you guys don't hafta switch off after every ride...That's just what you decided on. Doesn't bug me which one of you is back there, even if it was the whole night." Kurt shrugged, his sly tone going over Tucker's head.
"W-well, that wouldn't be fair..." Tucker muttered, looking away with a guilty spark in his eyes. "We both had to pay, so we should both get to play. I guess I can just try to adjust..."
Kurt shifted in his seat and suddenly let out a juicy fart, which Lars was right there to be rumbled against. "W-well, you just let me know...!"
Tucker would end up picking a rollercoaster for his first ride, based only on the fact that it had the longest line of the nearby options. It gave him time to think, and when he got to experience the majestic speed of the ride, it made him realize he couldn't just walk away from Wonderland tonight.
The next hour would consist of multiple switches on who was riding in the 'trunk'. Lars was the more considerate of the pair, not wasting any time in picking his activity and looking for the ones with short lines. It was Tucker who wanted to waste time during his turns, for fear of going back to the stench. A stench that was getting progressively worse as Kurt continued to mess himself throughout the evening.
On the most recent of the switches, Tucker had noticed something strange. As he was being put back into his 'hiding place', he saw what looked like a large print on the back of the diaper. It was too faint to make out what it was, but he didn't remember it being there before. Before he could ask about it, he was silenced by the closing of the tights.
Lars and Kurt went on the tilt-a-whirl next. This proved most uncomfortable for Tucker, as the g-forces forced him even more closely with the dirty diaper; the speed and force was compressing him against it, and it was also making Kurt's bowels violently evacuate at the same time. The diaper swelled with their newfound contents and Tucker felt as though he was being squished.
It was a traumatic enough experience that it would make Tucker reevaluate once more about whether this was worth it. From his calculations, it most certainly was not, but Wonderland had its hooks in him now. There were still plenty of rides to go on, but he just couldn't put up with this compromise any longer.
So Tucker made a selfish decision. The next time he was free and had the wristband, he let Lars know all about it; once the other boy was snugly contained at least.
"I can't go back in there, man. I'm tapping out. So, here's what I'm thinking...I'm gonna go on the rest of the rides I want to, and then you can have the wristband for the rest of the night. We can still have a couple of hours each like that, and it'll be with fresh air. So just hang tight and then it'll be worth it, I promise."
Kurt didn't say anything, he just smiled. Lars wasn't in a position where he could argue either, so it was just Tucker left having to justify his betrayal.
As he said, Tucker would go on ride after ride. Whenever he thought he might be done, a new one would catch his eye. Wonderland was so dense with joy and every inch was so alluring! He'd get his two hours, and when he thought of keeping his promise, Kurt would point to another fun looking detour.
Meanwhile, Lars had become dazed by an odor that was growing to otherworldly levels. With the diaper still filling, he also felt like he was being pressed harder and harder against the lumpy garment. As if he threatened to be completely buried by it. His own body was feeling lighter and lighter...
Wonderland was suddenly starting to close down. Tucker looked at the clock and realized he'd broken his promise to give Lars two hours with the wristband; consumed by his own greed and hedonism, Tucker had taken all the time for himself!
"Oh, crap! He's gonna be super mad at me..." Tucker bemoaned. "The park is closing, so you might as well let him out. They can't kick us out if we're already leaving..."
Kurt shook his head, "Mm, sorry, can't do that. Besides, we're not leaving."
Tucker tilted his head, "What are you talking about? Don't you see them shutting everything down?"
Kurt nodded, "Yup. Time to go to another town. I wonder where Wonderland will pop up next..."
"Wait...Does your mom work here or something? Why couldn't you just get us in for free?"
"I did. You bought one ticket for two people, remember? If you'd shared like you were supposed to, then maybe you both could've gone home..."
Tucker furrowed his brow. This stupid kid wasn't making any sense! "Just shut up and let Lars go! We need to go."
He lurched forward and pulled down on Kurt's tights, to bring them down to his ankles. As he did though, he didn't find Lars back there. Instead, the heavily filled diaper had something else to show him. Something disturbing.
That faded print from earlier was crisp and clear now. It was a cartoony version of Lars' face with a horrified expression that leered right into Tucker's soul.
"Anything can happen in Wonderland. If you can't pay the way you're supposed to, then you have to pay a different price. You were supposed to be fifty-fifty with your friend, but you got greedy, and so he's the one that got absorbed..."
"A-absorbed?"
"Don't look so sad, I wouldn't want to split two friends up!"
As the last lights turned off in Wonderland, Kurt would go waddling into the depths of the darkened park, in just his immense diaper, which now carried something more. The material stretched out with the distinctive appearance of two hands and a terrified face, whose screams were muffled behind all the padding. Kurt paid that no mind.
"I wonder where we'll go next? I can't wait to find more 'friends' to play with..."
