Story #158: Bringing Home a New Baby

The balloon said 'Its a boy!' There were blue streamers hanging from the ceiling. Things were decorated as you would expect when bringing home a new baby home from the hospital and celebrating it. There was no newborn though, only Caleb.
Caleb was nearly ten years old.
This also wasn't his house, and considering he had no idea how long he'd been asleep, he didn't even know if this was his town. He couldn't think too clearly right now, so he didn't give that a whole lot of thought. He tried to speak up, but there was something in his mouth that obstructed that.
"Welcome to your new home, baby boy!" Someone cooed at him from above.
Caleb weakly turned his head around in an attempt to figure out where he was, and he quickly discovered he was strapped into a stroller. It also felt and smelt like he had crapped himself at some point, and that his groin was damp. He peered down, but his pants didn't look wet. They also didn't look like *his* pants, it looked like he was wearing some kind of one-piece outfit.
"Let's take you to your new nursery. I'm sure my little stinker needs a fresh diapee after the long trip in the car."
Fresh diapee? Caleb didn't wear those; he was in fourth grade for crying out loud! In his daze, he tried to argue, but again he couldn't say anything past whatever was obstructing his mouth. He felt it with his tongue and was even more confused; it was like a rubber bulb, like... a pacifier.
The mysterious woman wheeled him out of the living room and down the hall. She opened a door that led to an innocuous looking 'study' and then continued on toward a bookshelf. Caleb watched as she flipped a hidden switch and the bookshelf became a door of its own, leading into what appeared to be a baby's nursery.
Everything was bigger than what it would be as a normal nursery. It was all sized for a kid around his age. It felt surreal to see and it fit the dreamlike state that his brain was still left in.
Deep beneath the numbness, Caleb knew how horribly wrong this all felt. Fear bubbled from deep within himself; he was in a house he didn't recognize, with a total stranger, and being treated like he was an infant. How had he even ended up here? And where had his original clothes gone?
What had he been doing before this? He tried to remember the string of events that had led up to this point, but it was a struggle to remember anything at all. It was like his brain had been coated in molasses, and his muscles were totally drained of their strength.
The woman unbuckled him from the stroller and lifted him up by his armpits. She gave his bottom a loud sniff and clicked her tongue, "That's definitely a poopy diapee! Let's fix that, hmm?"
She placed him on a large changing table and Caleb felt his rump squish, which helped to confirm that he'd indeed crapped his pants at some point. If he wasn't so groggy, then he would have been pretty embarrassed by that. He was able to get a look at the white padding whenever she unzipped him out of the romper he'd been wearing; the front was yellowed too, which tracked with how damp he felt.
"You made such a big present for mommy!" The woman noted as she untaped the diaper and started to clean him up.
"And I'm sure you'll be making a lot more, too. You're a growing boy after all..."
She started to tape a new diaper back on and Caleb tried to argue with her, but it was just muffled babbling behind that pacifier. He could barely keep his eyes open anyway, let alone form a cogent statement to make. The woman quietly shushed him and started to dress him in a footed sleeper.
"I think you could use a nap. You need to sleep off all that nasty medicine that mommy had to give you." She said as she carried him off the changing table and put him into the oversized crib in the center of the room.
"Don't you worry, I have the baby monitor set up, so just cry if you need something." The woman told him as she gave him a pat and a kiss on the forehead.
Caleb tried to stay awake, but he couldn't. Darkness creeped into his eyes and his head hit the pillow, as he returned to a dreamless sleep.
There were no windows in the nursery nor was there a clock, so Caleb had no reference for how long he slept. When he woke back up, he was still groggy, but far less than he'd been earlier. He'd rolled around a little in the crib, before sitting up on his knees and feeling that the diaper under his pajamas was again damp.
The boy rubbed his head and looked around. The nursery was dark, except for a faint light from a little airplane lamp, and it was quiet except for the soft tune of a lullaby on loop.
Caleb finally reached for the pacifier in his mouth to take it out, and he realized why it'd been such an obstacle before: it was looped around the back of his head by a ribbon, which made it effectively into a gag. Carefully, he unclasped the back and finally spat the drooly thing out of his mouth.
Why was he here? How had he even gotten here?
The memories were becoming less faint now. He'd been playing at the park this morning, right? He'd skipped school, because he had a test that he hadn't studied for, and instead he'd gone to play at the park. He'd remembered being alone, until a girl had come to play with him; she had been maybe just a little older than him, and she'd said that she was homeschooled.
Caleb rubbed his head as the memories took form in his thoughts. It was all shakey, but the events were easy enough to piece together. Then he remembered that the girl had told him to follow her into the nearby woods, because she'd found something really cool to show him. Caleb had been a little anxious, but he hadn't wanted to seem like a chicken. He'd followed her into the woods, and then he'd felt a sting on his thigh, like he'd been pricked by something.
And then it had all gotten murky. He couldn't remember anything after that. He'd somehow gotten from the woods to this house, and it was still a mystery who this woman was, or why she was acting like he was an infant.
His bowels were starting to cramp and Caleb bit his lip. He slowly got to his feet, which felt harder than it should have, and he used the bars of the crib to support himself. The bulky diaper between his legs was warm and swollen in the front, which made standing all the more difficult.
Regardless of the reason why he was here or why he was dressed like this, it was obvious that he had been kidnapped.
It didn't sound believable to actually think that out loud. It was the kind of thing that he'd been warned about since he was small, but that was just fearmongering, wasn't it? The creepy white van with the stranger who tantalized their prey with candy, to then murder the ignorant child and dump their body in a swamp or something.
Caleb was very much not murdered, which only added to the confusion of the situation. Why had he been kidnapped and dressed up like a giant baby?
Another painful gurgle came from deep within his belly and he quietly groaned from the sheer sharpness of the discomfort. He really had to take a dump, and for whatever reason, it didn't really feel like he could hold on for very long. He wasn't sure what to do either.
His more recent memories of being taken into the house and being put in this room, they were even more fuzzy than the ones he had of this morning. One thing that had stuck out to him though, was that the nursery was hidden away behind some kind of secret passage. There was only one door out of here, and who knew if it could be even opened from his side?
More immediately than that was the fact that he wasn't sure how well he could scale the crib, if he wanted to get out of it. His face was above the side while he stood up, but he'd have to use a lot of upper body strength to leverage himself over it, and his body still felt weak.
Still, he had to at least try. As scared as he was, and as frail as he currently felt, he couldn't just sit here and wait to soil himself. More than that, he couldn't just wait here for his captor to come back and possibly harm him. This could be life and death with a real psycho!
Caleb planted his hands on the side of the crib and started to pull himself up with all his might. While usually spry, his body now must have weighed a hundred pounds for how trouble he was having! His arms were like wet noodles, and every moment exerting himself made his gut pain worsen.
The boy lifted his feet from the padded floor of the crib and he balanced his tummy on the wooden top of the barred wall. As he was heaving himself up there, it proved too much for his stomach to handle, and he let out a long fart. The flatulence was so powerful and ripping that he involuntarily let out another pained groan, and he felt liquid filth spew forth like a boiling magma plume; like a geyser!
The soft poop splattered the inside of his diaper like a Pollock painting, and it barely moved the needle on how much his tummy ached.
'What a perfect time for diarrhea...' He sarcastically thought to himself, biting his lip and wincing while the hot mess oozed freely within his oversized Huggies.
Caleb tried really hard to ignore his own disgust and shame. He might have just crapped himself, but this was about survival, and he needed to stay focused. He took a few breaths in and out, before trying to bring his legs all the way up, so he could get completely over the top of the crib. He just barely managed to do it and he swiftly flipped around, so he could get down on the other side.
There wasn't a good foothold to make this pleasant. He would have to fall and hope he didn't injure himself in the process. Caleb closed his eyes and let go.
He at least tried to control his fall to land more on his padded butt, which he achieved, though that just made the poop in his diaper smear all that much more. The physical shock of the plummet was also enough to break his control again, and he felt more diarrhea shooting into the garment in hot, sloppy bursts.
Caleb had to wait a moment before he could stand back up. His legs still felt a little like jelly, and it was compounded by his diaper becoming more full with each lapse of his bowel control. The taut sleeper he was wearing was also becoming more tight as his diaper swelled, which stiffened the flexibility he had.
Escaping in this condition, besides being humiliating, would prove to be very hard. Caleb didn't feel like he had the energy to run, or even to walk for too long, and he definitely didn't have any stamina to fight back if his captor spotted him fleeing! It almost seemed like a good idea to find somewhere to hide and recuperate, but that was far too risky.
He slowly started to waddle his way toward what was seemingly the only exit. Trying the handle on the door, Caleb discovered it to be totally locked and sealed. It was very possible that it might only be able to be opened from the other side, since the 'door' was hidden behind a bookcase.
He tugged a few more times and sighed. Instead, he turned on the lights started to scope out the rest of the nursery.
Crib, changing table, diaper pail, toybox, bookshelf, rocking horse, dresser, and a great big pile of stuffed animals. There was nothing that resembled an extra exit or anything that could be reasonably made into a makeshift weapon.
Another fart came sputtering out and Caleb felt his whole body shudder. Whether he wanted to or not, he *needed* to empty the rest of what was brewing inside him. It would be sick and awful, but it was going to come out of him in a matter of seconds.
Caleb put his hands against the wall and hung his head between them, while his legs splayed out more widely. He decided to stop fighting the pain and he gave a gentle push. With just the smallest provocation, he absolutely exploded into the back of his diaper.
The burning sludge flowed and flooded all throughout the inside of his diaper; it coated his buttcheeks and came underneath to submerge everything else in a puddle of smelly mud. Every semi-solid spurt was announced by a flatulent burst, and Caleb whimpered softly, because he just wanted it to be over.
And finally it was, after he had expelled more than he thought was humanly possible.
The diaper under his sleeper was now completely and utterly filled to the brim with a fetid pudding; every small movement caused a disruption to the bubbling cauldron of muck around his waist. Caleb wanted to cry, but he was too overcome with the relief of what had left him.
The doorway to the nursery suddenly opened, and Caleb saw the woman from before. He was able to get a better look at her this time, but she still wasn't at all familiar to him. She was maybe in her early forties, with short brown hair and crazed green eyes; she was tall for a woman, and a little heavy too, which explained how she'd been able to pick him up so easily.
Caleb couldn't say anything, he could only stare in horror at her. With the way he was looking at her, one would have expected that she was wearing a hockey mask and swinging around a bloody chainsaw, not that she was a very average looking housewife.
"Looks like I have a little escape artist who didn't want to stay in his crib, huh?" She cooed at him in a faux anger. "From what I heard on the baby monitor, it also sounded like my little boy had a tummy ache..."
His face got red as he realized that his loud defecation had been picked up by the tattling ears of the white baby monitor situated near the crib. Even if she hadn't heard the rude noises coming from his bottom, the room itself stank badly of his dirty misdeed.
As she came closer to him, with his form still hunched against the pastel wall, his lip warbled and his eyes got wet. He tried to speak, but coughed instead, as he realized just how dry his throat had gotten; the dehydration of evacuating so fully into his pants probably had something to do with that.
"Oh, is my little boy thirsty? Don't you worry, mommy will get you a bottle. I think that icky diaper can wait a few more minutes, can't it?" She reached down and Caleb closed his eyes in terror.
He was too paralyzed to defend himself, and too tired. The woman picked him up again and carried him like a toddler, putting a hand underneath his squishy bottom to support him. "That's a very big boom-boom you made." She praised, softly patting the swollen seat as she carried him out of the nursery.
She took him back through the study and out into the living room where he'd originally regained consciousness. The balloon was still there, as if to mock him. They weren't in there for long though, as she carried him into the kitchen and used a free hand to open the fridge.
"Mmm, a nice big bottle of formula. How's that sound?"
It sounded disgusting and degrading, but Caleb's throat was dry enough to crack. He'd drink just about anything if it got placed in front of him.
She took him back into the living room and sat down in a chair, with Caleb placed sitting on her lap. She tilted the nipple of the bottle toward his mouth, but didn't hand the beverage over, expecting him to nurse from it like a real baby would. Caleb didn't want to, but he had no other option.
As the woman fed him the baby bottle, he heard the volume turning up on the television.
"Oh, how fun! Looks like my little man is a real Hollywood celebrity..."
Caleb wasn't sure what she meant, until he heard a newscaster dropping his name:
"...Ten year old Caleb Lake, who has been missing for twenty-four hours now. Police have no leads as of yet, so if you or someone you know have a tip, then call..."
It'd already been a whole day? Just how long had he been unconscious? How far away from home was he? And just what the hell was this woman planning to do with him?
