Tale #121: Babysitting the Bully 4: Denial

"I can just take a shower...And why do I need to wear another one, if I'm getting in the tub?!"
It was a question that wouldn't be immediately answered, and when it was answered, Jasper wouldn't like what he heard.
Things had continued down a bad slope for Jasper since they'd gotten upstairs. The diaper change had already been salt in the wound; getting taped into one in the first place had been embarrassing, but getting changed from one that he'd so thoroughly soiled? That was a whole new beast and a mortifying experience that he wouldn't soon forget.
Patrick's running commentary during the ordeal hadn't at all helped the situation. Awkward silence would have been preferable to hearing the teen make remarks about what a big mess that Jasper had made for him, and how he'd never seen such a poopy diaper in all his career as a babysitter. Dubious truth aside, it made Jasper all the more aware of every second that passed with him on his back and his legs up in the air.
Then when the deed had been done, Jasper had thought that was the end of it, but then Patrick had started to tape a fresh one on him. His first inclination had been to complain and argue about being put in another diaper, but that had hardly gone over well.
"What, you think you're getting back in underwear after that? Not a chance, kiddo. Diapers are definitely more your speed; I think *this* proves that." He replied, holding up the balled up diaper to emphasize his point.
So a new diaper went on, and then the plastic pants after that. Then, against all reason, Patrick had started to fill the bathtub. Jasper wasn't sure what the teen could possibly be thinking, since it didn't make much sense to diaper him for the five minutes it would take to run a warm bath.
"There..." Patrick mused as he dipped his finger in the water to check the temperature. "Warm and with plenty of bubbles! Do you have any bath toys you want to play with in the tub?"
Jasper scoffed, "Bath toys? I don't even take baths anymore! I've been taking showers since I was eight!"
"Wow, such a big boy! Well, if you mastered the shower, then maybe someday you can master the toilet too."
Patrick turned and grabbed his charge by the hand, "Alright, now let's get you all cleaned up, okay? And don't worry, I packed along some baby shampoo, so you don't have to worry about any tears."
"H-hey! Are you stupid or what? You just put me back in a fricking diaper! You already forget that?"
**SMACK!**
Patrick's hand was fast as it caught the back of the puffy garment, the plastic crinkling upon impact. The sudden strike made Jasper stand up straight, even though it hadn't hurt at all, except for maybe his pride.
"You need to show a little more respect to your babysitter, sport. I'm here all weekend and you really don't want to get on my bad side. Little boys like you should be more polite and not use words like that; do I make myself clear?"
Stunned and mortified, Jasper struggled to give a stilted nod, which made Patrick smile again.
"Good. Now, the reason you're back in a diaper is because I really don't want to have to clean up the tub if you decide to have another accident. Usually I only have to worry about that with really little babies, but after what you've already done, I think it's better safe than sorry. Now get in the tub and I'll go get the shampoo."
Jasper's face reddened at the implication that he'd poop himself while in the bathtub, as if he were so inept in his toileting that he was on the same level as an infant. Even most toddlers knew better than to poop in the tub if they could help it.
He grumbled and groused, but begrudgingly climbed into the bubble bath as he'd been told to. Patrick gave him a pat on the head and went to go get the shampoo he'd been talking about, leaving Jasper some time to himself.
"What an idiot...I can't believe he's treating me like a frickin' baby." The blond seethed, folding his arms to sulk.
Jasper had to admit to himself that he hadn't been the greatest advocate of his own maturity; he had now soiled himself twice in the first evening under Patrick's watch. It was unbelievable, because he hadn't had any 'poopy' problems in years, and now he couldn't seem to help himself. The rationale he took was that he must have a tummy bug, but he didn't feel sick and he knew Patrick wouldn't take the argument seriously.
The first accident had been his own fault in a technical sense. He'd been too proud to ask his babysitter to remove the plastic pants and he'd run out the clock on holding it in. His second though, that had been much more explosive and had much less warning. His second had also had an audience, which could possibly come back to haunt him.
That was the part that he *should* be stressing the most about, but his brain would rather try to ignore it. The most immediate conflict was his jerkass babysitter and the absurd way that the teen was treating him.
Jasper scooped up some bubbles in his hands, playing with the suds idly as he contemplated everything. His gut still didn't feel right, especially after eating all that pizza. He made a mental note to tell Patrick he needed to use the toilet after his bath.
The teen soon returned with some baby shampoo and he kneeled beside the tub. "Alright kiddo, are you ready to get all nice and clean?"
"If you'd just let me take a shower, then I'd already be clean by now." Jasper dryly replied.
Patrick ignored him and squirted a big dollop of shampoo into his hand; he smeared it all over the top of Jasper's hair and started to rub it in. "There we go. Don't worry, litttle guy; that's baby shampoo, so it won't give your eyes any ouchies."
The condescension was almost worse than being diapered up in the tub itself. Jasper was on the precipice of teenhood, and here he was being talked to like he was going to be turning three instead of thirteen. The boy folded his arms and scowled, closing his eyes as a pail of water was poured over his sudsy head.
"I c-can do all of this myself." He sheepishly asserted, which provoked a chuckle from his caretaker.
"Really? I thought you could handle the toilet too, or even telling me about your poopy pants, but you couldn't do that right. Why should I think you can handle cleaning yourself up either? As far as I'm concerned, you're just another toddler that I'm watching for the weekend."
Jasper looked irritated, "You can't treat me like that! I'm not that much younger than you!"
"And yet so much smaller and less mature. Would you take a preschooler seriously if they said the same thing to you?"
"That's different! A preschooler is basically a baby, and a sixth grader is--"
"--basically a baby. Which is why your parents got you a babysitter."
Jasper seethed quietly at that. Patrick was too quick-witted for him to debate, and too level-headed to be thrown off by the bullying verbiage that Jasper was accustomed to busting out. Patrick got an infantile looking bath-sponge and soaked it in the water, before beginning to scrub at the boy's back.
While this was going on, Jasper could feel some cramps beginning to boil in his gut again. They felt especially painful, since he'd eaten so much pizza, but he felt confident that it couldn't possibly be that he needed to take another dump. He'd already gone number two twice in the last couple of hours, so that couldn't be what was causing him distress!
Then again, that confidence was something that had already screwed him this evening. Just because something seemed improbable, didn't mean that it actually was, as evident by messing himself in the first place. Whatever was 'normal' for him was all topsy-turvy right now!
He considered mentioning the pain in his belly, so that he could get out of the tub and onto the toilet, but the thought of sitting on the pot in front of Patrick, like he was a toddler, was abhorrent to him. It was probably something that could wait until his bath was over with, when he could be more assertive about his privacy.
"My parents didn't hire you to treat me like this." Jasper finally replied as the teenager scrubbed at his back. "Once I tell them--"
"--Which part are you going to start with? Pooping your pants the first time or the second time? Or lying about it?" Patrick interrupted.
"Because you locked me in a diaper!"
"Hm, sounds a lot like an excuse. I wonder who they'll believe? The mature teenager they hired to babysit their little boy, or the bratty bedwetter with behavioral problems?"
Jasper bit his lip at that. While his bullying was less known to his parents, his other faults were certainly more obvious. He'd been caught acting out and lying a lot in the last few years, and it was sadly accurate that his credibility might not be as strong as it could be.
"That's right, Jasper. I know all about your naughtiness. Luckily, I'm trained to handle naughty little brats like you; even when they whine and fuss and go potty in their pants."
Jasper's parents couldn't be fully blamed for Patrick's foreknowledge of his charge; much of what Patrick knew was coming from what Patrick considered to be a more reliable source: Caiden.
Caiden, Patrick's little brother, had been on the mean-spirited end of Jasper's bullying for years now. He was a dorky boy and an awkward one, but he in no way deserved to be as maligned as he had been at the cruel hands of this preteen punk.
Patrick hadn't mentioned anything to Caiden about what he was doing, since he knew his little brother was too meek to allow any reprisals on his behalf, but the hope was to permanently change the way that Jasper behaved with one exceptionally brutal weekend of humiliation.
By the time that Patrick was done with Jasper, there shouldn't be a single bullying bone left in his body; every atom of his being would be thoroughly humbled.
Jasper was starting to feel the cramping intensify again and he shifted awkwardly where his padded rump sat in the tub. The boy didn't have to say anything for Patrick to understand what the issue was; there had been enough 'assurance' given to make Jasper a prodigious pantsfiller for the whole evening. Diapering him in the tub hadn't just been about embarrassing him, but had been a matter of containing what very well might come out.
"Now, what would you like to do tonight, after your bath? Maybe you want to go see a movie?"
A fart slipped out, but was thankfully hidden by the bubbles already coating the water in the tub. "U-uh...I don't know...Probably just going to play video games..."
Patrick clicked his tongue, "Just going to sit inside all evening in front of your Xbox? That's no way to spend a Friday night. No, I think we should go out."
That garnered a grimace from the younger boy, since all he could think about was the fact that Patrick would undoubtedly make him go outside the house in a diaper. "I'd rather not."
"Movie or arcade, I'll let you decide." Patrick firmly declared, seemingly set on taking the boy out for the evening. "Or if you're looking for something more active, then there's always bowling or mini-golf..."
If the circumstances had been different, then all of those ideas would have sounded fine. Jasper wasn't a homebody by nature, and he actually enjoyed getting out on the weekends to do things, but with Patrick? That's where the problem was.
"I don't want to go out anywhere if I have to wear a diaper." Jasper gritted his teeth.
"So you'd rather just poop in your pants? Where everyone can see it?"
"N-no! I don't usually do that!" Jasper loudly huffed, getting defensive over his toileting abilities.
"Could have fooled me..." Patrick sounded like he was about to continue that thought, but the muffled sound of a ringtone could suddenly be heard from out of the room. "...Oh, I should probably get that. Finish scrubbing up and I'll be right back."
The teen again left the bathroom and Jasper sat in the tub with a pouty lip. He felt like a giant toddler and that comparison only felt more accurate when Patrick had been throwing out 'activity ideas' instead of respecting Jasper's wishes to seclude himself.
Thoughtlessly, he leaned to the side to let out another fart, but he ended up getting a lot more than he bargained for. It was like a motorboat going off in his padding, and one he had no hopes of stopping; as the gassy symphony grew more powerful, hot lumps began to helplessly slip out and pile up in the back of his diaper.
It probably took less than fifteen seconds in total, but it felt like a brass-heavy prog-rock song in terms of length and in terms of 'heaviness', at least in the garment underneath him.
Mushy, hot, and sticky. The very feeling he'd been freed from before the bath, and the same he was now forced to once again endure. The rest of his body was squeaky clean, but his rump was a complete biohazard. He tried to keep from moving too much, as to not let the load smear, but it just felt so icky!
"Sorry about that, was just a friend from school. Had to tell him I was in the middle of giving a baby a bath."
Jasper didn't jump to defend himself that time, which Patrick was quick to notice. "Why the long look? Still having a hard time choosing what to do tonight? Well, lucky for you, but my friend has a little brother, so I might be able to get you a buddy to have a playdate with."
Patrick's cooing tone was enough to make Jasper retch, "I already have friends, I don't need a playmate..."
Patrick reached over to pull the plug from the drain, "I have a feeling that your friends are probably as poorly behaved as you. Maybe you need better influences?"
As the water drained away and left just a bubbly residue in the tub, the odor of what had occurred in Patrick's absence was now starting to emerge. The teen loudly sniffed the air and looked down at Jasper, who was red-faced and refusing to make eye-contact.
"...Jasper, did you make a big stinky mess in your diaper again?"
Childishly and anxiously, the younger boy shook his head and denied it. "N-no...!"
But the truth didn't care about his shame. Whether the truth was as direct as the current state of his diaper, or as abstract as the big picture statement of whether or not he was a 'big kid'. He'd been making the case to Patrick that he wasn't a baby, but he'd unconsciously been making the same case to himself.
Acting like this big of a baby and feeling like one too, Jasper was having doubts about his own capabilities. He was in denial, but Patrick planned to fix that right up.
