I wanted this to be kind of like a illustration that you'd find on a page in a book. With some of the chapter of the book included on the illustration page.
It was a pretty improvised piece, but I like how it came out!
I've drawn a literal ball-tie like this once before in a little sketch (I'm pretty sure it's buried somewhere in my Stream Sketch Collection archive - the first post in the whole Substar), but I think the concept is really funny! I think I saw a picture of some people who had tried it in real life years and years ago. Internet history.
I kinda drew Jorcy more bruised and banged up than I usually do. Maybe I just wanted to be a little bit extra mean, in an otherwise pretty cute pic...
