In the lead-up to release, we’ve been sharing this gorgeous cover everywhere so you’ve probably seen it a time or two before … but I guarantee there are some details within this epic scene you’ve yet to discover. We’re very excited to share the concept art and process behind this full 16” x 9” version of this illustration in an upcoming post (and also excited to hang prints on our walls)!

Fantasy worlds need some fantasy public transit! This article presents two new types of truly fantastical vehicles: rune-powered scrawlers, in their many variations—including the stone steed pictured above—and loreriders, which transport city denizens for the price of a story, phasing through crowds and traffic on their ethereal legs.
Look Up to Cuculan!

High in the Cloudlands of Nim, the town of Cuculan is home to cerulean dwarves, balloon gnomes, the cloud people known as aislynn, majestic Nim rocs, and one particularly terrible crane. You'll also find adventure hooks for getting your party into the sky, a colorful cast of Cuculan denizens, and rumors that lead adventurers across the cloudlands!

Inspired by the wonders of astronomy in our own universe, this article presents lore and stat blocks for star dragons: their formation as protostellar wyrmlings, their adulthood as sequence star dragons, and their eventual transformation into giant starwyrms. The star dragon lair actions will awe and delight players—and awe and terrify player characters!
Atraxis the Crystalline

System: Pathfinder Second Edition (easily adaptable location and character lore)
Raised in an orcish mountain city on an elemental rift, Atraxis is a powerful earth mage who can be an epic adversary or an invaluable ally—or both, if your players are creative about it! Their (almost) alma mater, the Hall of Light and Stone, is a collegiate setting for elemental and planar study, and Atraxis comes with a new magic item and a ritual that player characters can learn.
Horizons also includes bios for our designers, editors, artists, alpha testers, and staff, and a page of handy resources and links for getting started with the game systems featured in each issue.

I have a jungle campaign coming up and I thought it would be fun to flavor a scrawler into a dinosaur shape that that can carry the adventurers further along in their journey. It would be a fun thing for them to find exploring through the jungle .

Fantastic! Looking forward to find places to use this, and hey, I already needed a great image of a Constellation Dragon for tomorrow's Arcadia's Star Trial, so that's fortuitous timing! Really looking forward to centering a future short campaign around the cloud city!
