Slow progress again
🕑 Added 2025-07-03 09:37:01 +0000 UTCHello! Since the last post, I prototyped and blocked out a couple room tiles for the factory interior. But on this front, rather than building momentum, I felt like I was continually dragging a heavy wagon with its wheels stuck and scraping and digging into the ground and getting nowhere. Any work felt like an unproductive drain of my will and energy. Making environments has always been the hardest part of game development, and I have a lot more environment work ahead of me.
So since the last post didn't have much progress to speak of either, I've paused the patreon billing cycle for a month. This is still a marathon, not a sprint. I'm not taking a break, but I am taking it easy, and it might be a while before I get to the factory interior; I think I will focus on other parts of the game.
Oh, other than the factory tiles, I did make about seven scrap items specifically for one moon (an idea I've had since forever.) Some people will hate this, haha. I definitely think part of the reason I was able to get this done was because no one really expected this of me (which gives me super powers I guess.)

Hey Zeekers! I reread this post and read the comments. I do think if your burnt out you do need to take a break but I recommend taking a break with things you think would inspire towards that push you need. Modded lethal, other games, just other things in general. I understand making new content is draining and time consuming but I do ask something happens. Lethal Company is the funnest game I've ever played and I still hop on it chronically. It's nighttime for me so I may not be making a lot of sense and I apologize, but the Lethal Company community and modded community really look forward to what you might add. I just ask you keep it in mind. There doesn't have to be pressure for you to work on it, you just need to want to. That ties back into the inspiration thing. But yes, I hope you are having a good day!

if the work you are doing feels unproductive and draining. you should maybe just drop an update (similar to v47) just to patch a bunch of bugs, optimizing stuff and even just polishing stuff and take a break until you have the motivation to cook up the update.
