State of VR for the Corrin project
🕑 Added 2019-08-30 11:35:22 +0000 UTCVirtual Reality is a heavy focus this time around for the Corrin project. The entire video will be available for VR, and $12+ patrons will be able to preview it.
The preview will be rendered at a much lower resolution than the final, mainly to save time on rendering. As for the final version, there are a few potential rendering issues:
Ideally, I'd want to render the final version in 4k (4096x4096), but the current scene would take over 35 mins per frame, which the render farm doesn't allow (max 30 mins). This would also take 14 days to render entirely. I can cut the render time significantly by using less samples, but the final work will look grainy as a result.
Alternatively, I could settle for a 2k render (2048x2048), which is the resolution of the image above. Let me know whether this resolution is acceptable.
