3x5 Friday - Mini Figure Study #29!
🕑 Added 2022-05-14 01:40:28 +0000 UTCQUICK little figure sketch from my 3x5" sketchbook, every Friday evening.
As this mini series is from a book meant for fun, simple warm-ups and playful practice, themed to female diversity in the expressive anatomy study, it's really all about brief captures of female identifying form as a beautiful, natural, and multifaceted spectrum. I've got athletic, classical, ground-breaking, and unconventional body types throughout, and I plan to explore more variety. That's what keeps it interesting!
Economy of contour, mark-making creativity in service of the gesture essence, and line-weight variation are the top three priorities for these studies.
*If you feel inspired, you can give yourself a timed session (or sessions) using my provided figure reference here (tier one or two), and have a go on these priorities for your own practice, along with me.
Sharing is optional, but welcome.
May's themed photo reference for all tiers is coming up next week!
Cheers, and thank you for being here.👋🏻
