When I was a substantially younger man, our favorite local tale was the Grapevine Angel story. A crumbling and weathered concrete angel stood vigil in Grapevine Cemetary over the grave of someone whose name had long worn away from the porous headstone. The oldtimers in town said if you kissed your true love in front of the stone figure under the light of a full moon, the wings would flutter.
I'm, uh, a little late for last month's bedtime stories, mea culpa, mea culpa ;_; I found this story on Creepypasta.com and it was so well-written I wanted to share it with you!
