Streaming Timetable: Sadposting/Update Edition April 2024

If you're anything like me you are filled with an incredible about of shame about all the tasks you should have done but did not manage to end up doing. I feel even more shame since those tasks are the whole point of this Patreon page! What tasks you may ask? Well, as you might have noticed, I haven't hosted a stream in... quite a while.
There are a few reasons for why I have been more unreliable than normal. I've been hinting about it and there will be a proper announcement soon but for now let's just say that I've been unusually busy with things outside of the normal work-life balance chaos, which is itself a mess. Not only did I have to contend with adjusting to new ADHD medication late last year but it turns out politics sis very time consuming when you hold higher office.
However, come May 30th, all that chaos will drop to zero, along with an announcement around the same time as to what those massive changes are.
In addition around the same time, I'll go from working 50% (in reality more like 75%) in politics to a whooping 10% as a result of me handing over my higher office position to another political party. And that 10% will be enforced for reasons that will be clear post-announcement. This'll mean two major obstacles to me doing the things I should be doing will be gone in the same week. I realize this is a lot of "Non youtube/patreon talk" but it's a bit relevant since the entire staff of Mia Mulder Youtube/Patreon Productions are me, myself and I. The third obstacle is clinical depression but if I had the cure for that one as well I'd be getting a Nobel Prize.
However, that's not an excuse as to why I have been negligent in my duties on here. You are my greatest supporters and in all the chaos of my life lately I have let you down. I haven't done my streams as promised and frankly I was already quite behind on many streams already. Again, I promise, that will change. And I hope you trust me on this even though this might be the 5th time I've promised this. However, if I fail this time I won't have any excuses at all.
But we can't wait until the start of summer for me to even begin to catch up and try to make up for the fact that I've let a lot of work pile up. Frankly I feel the need, desire and deep yearning to make it up to you as best as I possibly can. Unfortunately the only thing I have is content. And thankfully, soon, I'll also have time.
And with that said, obviously we'll resume normal streaming next month. I wish I could do it immediately but events are happening. But not the weekend of May 4-5 so then I'm gonna have "The Catch-Up Mia Mulder Hangout Patreon Stream Marathon: Please don't be too mad at me Edition"
May 4th is gonna be for Patrons only. Starting from 15.00 CEST and going until I lose consciousness we'll do some AMAs, we'll react to older videos, maybe we play Jackbox games together! Who knows! Maybe we'll even end up doing one of those iceberg challenges I've heard so much about. God knows I can ramble for hours on end anyway.
May 5th is gonna be open to the public and will almost definitely involve playing some Jackbox games as well as me rambling about any and all topics I and you can think of. I'll also do some book reviews for those interested, the normal hangout style of stream as well, and finally; some sort of cooking and/or baking segment!
But that's just me catching up on thing I think you are owed. Technically, even if I stream all day I still would be behind on streams but I hope it's at least worthy of a partial repayment. But I also want to compensate for my irresponsibility, not just catch up to it. And because of that I'll be releasing Vlogs at least once a week, available to all patrons, starting next week and going for at least a month, hopefully two or three! I think it'll be a fun opportunity to connect with you a bit more as well as force me to actually sit down and learn how to edit more.
I've been wanting to do this for a long time and I can't think of a better reason to actually do it than as as my self imposed punishment for not living up to my end of the patreon deal. Topics will include things like "Mia Mulder Videos - From Start To Finish" and "Rambling Incoherently About Ongoing News". If you have something you would love to see from me in Vlog form instead of video essay form, let me know!
I know I've been writing in a somewhat uplifting tone in this post but I am truly ashamed over how the last few months have been. It's easy to blame my personal professional situation of working two jobs and being in politics, and to be clear that does take up most of my time and has burnt me out a little bit, but that doesn't mean I can take you, or my channel, or my content for granted. I never thought I'd let things deteriorate so much that I miss all my streams one month, much less two or three. It didn't use to be like this before politics and while I relish the privilege of holding office that is not my goal in life. If you saw my most recent video you know I want to focus on being here. I'm more than happy that I'll be reducing my workload from 50 to 10 percent so I can do what I love, which is making my silly little videos and doing streams with the best people in the world: You.
This has been a bit of a different "streaming timetable" post but I hope I am not oversharing or sad-posting too much here. In fact it's an optimistic post! I have been in the pits of depression, burn-out, overwork, stress and all that jazz. But finally, after months of preparation, so many of the obstacles in front of me will disappear and I'll have a brand new work-life balance and a new shot to not fuck it up.
Thank you for being patient with me during this time. I hope you're as excited as I am over how powerful I will be once, for the first time ever, I can dedicate 100% of my focus on YouTube while also being medicated for adhd. It's really unfortunate that my first period of being alive with a fully functioning brain just had to happen when I also had to split my time so much that you wonderful people barely get to experience any of the benefits.
Aware of the risk of this update going on far too long I am once again going to thank you for your patience with me, the unusual amount of "update posts" the last few months and the long time between videos. You've been nothing but amazing and supportive in this time, going from a bad time to a good once, and like I said in my most recent video;
I can't wait to see what we can do together

Like other people, I'm a patron because I want to support your creativity, not because I need entertainment on a set schedule. Sounds like you've been going through a lot; don't beat yourself up about it, and be kind to yourself..
