CRUX Space Marines?
🕑 Added 2022-11-11 22:45:35 +0000 UTCPatron Sam recently asked me if we have any CRUX rules for 40k space marines. This is actually something we've made in beta versions of the system, and I thought it would be fun to make that again. This is really another reason we need to get our Discord going, so we can do community workshops/shares on game stats. So, now that I have a proper, TOTALLY NON-IP-INFRINGING image to accompany the post, here's our "Bio-Enhanced Super-Human" ancestry (and some of their common gear)...
BIO-ENHANCED SUPER-HUMAN
BUL +2 (minimum of 6, maximum of 7 after rolling), VIT +1, PRE +1, APT +0, HP +4
SKILLS: Alertness +2, Endurance +2, Willpower +2
TRAITS: Adaptive, Super-Strength 4
PERSONALITY: (assuming imperial indoctrination) O -4, C +4, E -1, A -2, N -4
BOLT-THROWER: Two-handed ballistic weapon that deals D12 + 5 Piercing + d6 Concussive damage at 24 range. TRAITS: Burst d4, Capacity 30 (Cumbersome and Dangerous for characters below a BUL 5)
POWER ARMOR: As in the core rules but has life-support systems (like a space suit). The armor will also automatically attempt to stabilize the wearer if they are dying (one attempt per round, rolling a d12 each test) and heals an extra HP every day while the armor is worn.
I'm sure I'm missing some lore, but we could revise this ad infinitum. Again, this is the kind of thing for which we really need to get that Discord going. We've talked about doing a whole 40k fan-made setting document, and that might be a fun project? I'm no IP lawyer, but I thiiink if it's free and doesn't use copywritten materials that should be fine. (We could use proxy names and all that.) Anyway, what do you all think?
Have a great weekend,

Ill Gotten Games
We haven't been able to put the time into setting it up yet, but its on the docket.
What's the discord?

+1 for discord, 40k living rulebook would be great too, I have done something similar for the skirmish game rules I curate: https://fadwargame.com/official-army-lists/ As long as you keep it vague enough so that you don't directly breach any IP then all should be good :-)
This is wonderful
