He's a character comedian really, not a stand-up. So I think when he gets into a costume, he can unleash the inner Mat, that doesn't really come out when he's being normal.

Mathew seems like a really sweet guy and in the studio he definitely is very sweet and fun. Meanwhile Mathew during tasks - complete psychopath 😂😂 like, yeah, why not just waterboard Alex after you’ve also thrown shoes at his head 🤣 He’s so much fun on this show
