"I am going to arrest every single rally-goer, and if they resist... kill without mercy!" Travers swung his hand fiercely with obvious aggression.
"Sir, with all due respect, if we do this it will provoke massive resistance..." Theseus tried to persuade him with diplomatic reasoning.
However, Travers, who believed firmly in force, did not want to hear his opinion at all and said viciously, "Follow orders!"
Theseus sighed heavily and leaned against the railing with obvious frustration.
Suddenly, he noticed his own face seemed to be among the crowd—a grey windbreaker, a familiar case. The tilted head, the hunched walking posture—Theseus's eyes widened immediately in recognition.
Newt saw his brother and quickly pulled Tina into a small alley for cover.
"Tina, I am guessing you cannot Disapparate inside the Ministry, right?" Newt twisted his neck, and his face began to writhe as the Polyjuice Potion wore off.
"No, why..." Before Tina could finish, Newt's face returned to its normal appearance.
The Ministry's alarm was instantly triggered, and Newt and Tina began running through the corridors.
Ripples appeared in the space around them as two figures emerged from the collective unconscious sea into reality.
"Hey, Newt, good afternoon." Aiden greeted him casually.
"Newt!" Theseus burst out from around the corner with determination.
"Run!" Newt pulled everyone along as they fled through the Ministry halls.
"Stop right there!" Theseus chased them around the circular corridor with official authority.
"So this is your brother?" Tina asked while running breathlessly.
"I mentioned in my letters that we have a very complicated brotherly relationship." Newt shook his head with obvious understatement.
"So he wants to kill you?" Aiden raised an eyebrow with curiosity.
"It happens often." Newt smiled at him with resigned familiarity.
The four ran through the middle of the hall, with porters pushing luggage carts from both sides about to block Theseus's pursuit.
"Enough!" Theseus threw out a Petrificus Totalus spell with practised precision.
Tina casually cast a Protego charm, deflecting the petrification spell as nearby luggage carts froze mid-air.
"He should really control his temper." Tina waved her hand backward dismissively.
Theseus was blasted away, falling onto a rolling chair with his hands bound as he slid helplessly into an office.
"This is the most glorious moment of my life." Newt smiled and continued running forward with obvious satisfaction.
Aiden led them in psychological invisibility, swaggering confidently into the French Ministry's secure archives.
"Tina, about the engagement..." Newt wanted to explain the misunderstanding to her.
"Oh, should I congratulate you? I am happy for you!"
Tina raised her wand and cast a Lumos spell with forced brightness.
"No, please do not be happy for me. I do not mean... I mean..." Newt was tongue-tied with nervous confusion.
"He means it is Theseus who is engaged, not him. And can you two please figure out your relationship? We bystanders are having a hard time waiting."
A certain dragon directly interrupted, and Jacob also showed an knowing smile.
"What? Why would I be with him!" The corners of Tina's mouth turned up slightly despite her protest.
"You two like each other but do not dare say it. Come on, I have been listening to your thoughts all the way." Aiden spread his hands with obvious exasperation.
Newt and Tina looked at each other and lowered their heads in unison with embarrassment.
Tina walked over and rubbed Aiden's face hard. "Do not listen to my thoughts!"
"So, neither of you is willing to give the other a chance?" Jacob spoke up and pushed both of them gently together.
"No." Two voices appeared in perfect synchronisation.
They looked at each other and smiled, reaching out to hold hands with newfound understanding.
Click. The archive door suddenly opened with ominous timing.
Leta Lestrange walked in with purpose. She waved her wand, and the surrounding cabinets sorted themselves out, making way for her passage.
The cabinet holding the four of them floated all the way to Leta's position.
The book storing the family registry had been lost, leaving only a cryptic note that read: 'If you want to know the truth, come to Père Lachaise Cemetery tonight.'
After reading the letter carefully, Leta was about to leave, but caught sight of a Bowtruckle out of the corner of her eye.
"Revelio."
Magic surged powerfully, and the file cabinet in front of Leta began to spin rapidly.
"Hello, Newt." Leta smiled at him with genuine warmth, then looked at Tina with curiosity.
"Out with family members?" Leta pointed at Aiden and Jacob with her chin.
Then they heard the low, threatening growl of felines approaching.
The administrator of the French Ministry archives walked in with several large black cats at his heels.
"What are those?" Tina asked with obvious concern.
"Those are Matagots, spiritual creatures. The French use them to guard the Ministry, though they do not usually attack people..."
While Newt was explaining, Leta directly raised her wand and cast a Stunning Spell without hesitation.
The Matagot was hit, did a backflip, and split into three separate entities.
"Unless someone actively attacks them..." Newt's explanation was still a step too late.
"Oops!" Leta exclaimed with genuine regret.
"Roar!" The Matagots roared and pounced with predatory fury.
"Whoosh." A breathing sound came from Aiden.
An ice storm covered the several Matagots, freezing them and the administrator behind them in crystalline ice.
"Crack, crack." The Matagots began to break free from their frozen restraints with determination.
"Quick, run! Is there any way to leave here?" Tina asked urgently.
"Apparition is forbidden here." Leta replied with frustration.
"Uh, do any of you get seasick?" Aiden suddenly asked with mysterious intent.
Jacob raised his hand but was ignored by everyone else.
Then they felt the ground suddenly sink beneath them, and all five fell directly into a gray, misty space that defied natural law.
The sensation of falling enveloped everyone until they crashed onto hard, cold scales.
"Where is this?" Leta looked at the grey world around them and questioned with obvious bewilderment.
"This is where all creatures' minds converge, the collective unconscious sea."
A huge dragon head turned around and looked at Leta with ancient wisdom.
Seeing the dragon head, Leta immediately cast a spell with instinctive fear.
But in the sea of consciousness, how could a wizard's mental power compete with the observer? With Aiden's consciousness surging, storms rolled up around them, directly dispersing the spell Leta had cast.
"Oh, Leta, do not attack him! He is on our side." Newt quickly went up to stop her.
"Aiden?" Although Tina had never been to the sea of consciousness, she recognised him by his distinctive heterochromatic eyes.
"How is that, beautiful?" The dragon's head shook with obvious narcissism.
Tina could not help but reach out and touch it. The coolness from the scales entered Tina's arm through her palm.
"A bit cold." Tina commented with gentle observation.
The dragon became proud and would not let them touch anymore.
Turning his head, Aiden flapped his wings toward Père Lachaise Cemetery with purposeful direction.
Bursting out of the sea of consciousness again, several figures directly crashed into Yusuf Kama.
"My God, Aiden, can you give us a warning before you land next time?"
Jacob got up and twisted his aching waist with obvious discomfort.
"Did I not tell you we had arrived?" Aiden floated in the air and spread his hands innocently.
"It is proven that riding dragons feels terrible. They are a group of creatures unsuitable as mounts..."
Newt muttered while frantically recording in his notebook with scientific dedication.
"Hey, I am still here!" Aiden wanted to rush up and give him a hit.
"Ahem, let us get down to business!"
Newt hid the notebook in Tina's hands, and Tina immediately stuffed it in her coat.
Helplessly, Aiden could only shake his fist at Newt with a mock threat.
