Vault: Brace yourself
🕑 Added 2019-07-13 04:06:24 +0000 UTCFrom July 2017! This was when the main female character was in a different form but she got it all started and I was a happy camper making short clips for myself to watch on my now-dead Gear VR. Used mostly hdri spherical panoramas I found online for backgrounds back then which wasn't so bad. Also, I made cubemaps back then for the otoy orbx player, which meant 12 renders (6 per eye)
Those cubemaps were really sharp, 16K x 1.5K! If you remember the 2015 Otoy “Into the Metaverse” contest that’s what those were, and what inspired me. So for a long while (2015-2017) I didn’t make movies just a single moment in time.
I converted the good ones to spherical, like this one. Then movies make sense, and CzechVR proved it could look close to the cubemaps in quality.
I remember something clicking with this one, it was a favorite for awhile.
