I'm currently working on the Shiori animation. I really want to work with every new model that's released recently, but I've decided to focus on finishing this before really committing further on other projects! You can expect it to be the next video to release! Unless my inner demons take over!
The amount of new models I really want to work with is becoming very overwhelming...
IRyS
I've been working on a new IRyS animation. The hip sway still needs some work, but I would like the focus of the video to be other scenes. I wanted to recreate her hip swing, but it might actually be much harder than I thought it would be! What I have currently is fine, but again, needs some work!
This clip is living in my head rent free. You can maybe now expect something inspired by this to appear when I get back to working on the next IRyS video.

Other Models
I feel bad every time I delay the already scheduled models from polls, but receiving a blessing with all the new models coming out recently... It is really hard to not want to work with them right away..

I need to make a Nimi Nightmare animation.
I really want to make a video for Kronii, Bae, IRyS, and Nimi.
This is the hardest part of caring too much about the small details of the final product I put out. They will come one day if I keep strong and keep working!

sorry for not having any updated preview this month. Alot of my time was spent blocking out a scene for the IRyS video, and switching back and forth to the Shiori video, trying to decide what I really wanted to focus on currently. I personally don't think the progress I made this month is worth showing...
Blender
Also, finding random bugs from upgrading to the newest version of Blender definitely slowed me down. We have reached 5 reported (and fixed!) bugs this year.
There was a new custom normal node added to geometry nodes, that I hope has some improvements to changing custom normals for anime faces
I was also experimenting with this addon that i've been following for a few years now, which was also updated to use the new normal node

I'm not sure if the general look of faces the way I am doing them will change much, but the viewport performance will most likely be much much better! Custom normals gets ~5 fps max on my 4090 when disabling it puts playback back to 60fps :)
Backgrounds/Environments
I have felt that I am starting to get too lazy with backgrounds for my animations. I don't necessarily like how I've essentially placed holo members into no items, Final Destination.
I have been blocking out potentially creating some basic rooms again. I did make a few rooms for my first few early animations, but I didn't really put enough effort to make them that interesting. I have always felt I am trolling not just using already made assets for rooms, and instead spend time adjusting the textures and shaders to make them look like they belong...
I really like the environments that Dikko-san makes in their drawings, and I have been considering making a "Dikko-style house" for animations that I can possibly re-use. But it may be too much work to really make it look nice...
I am starting to envy 2D artists. Drawing a background seems much easier than modeling an entire house so it looks good from all potential camera angles. A real sacrifice... Less camera angles for less effort making a room... or just keep doing the backgrounds I have been doing... ah...

immersion is very important It is probably really good foresight to actually start making some genuine environments especially for when I get back into making everything with VR versions surely new valve VR headset soon.....

While I don't mind the scenes taking place in the void, I could imagine a more detailed room/background being more immersive. I don't know if it'd be worth the additional effort, though, and it feels selfish to ask for more if you're already busy with other things.
