It's been a busy past week or so in the shop, but feelin' a bit under the weather today so I'm takin' it easy.

It's a proportion thing. This is an early sketch-stage pic, and I usually get some proportions wrong. In this case, the initial 'ink' of Swampy's head was too small, so I stretched it to correct that. Conversely, Jinx' head in the first panel is a bit too small for his body- when I finish the final strip, I'll probably stretch his muzzle a bit and shorten his neck. And canonically, Jinx is 11. He started out back in the day at around 14, but I thought the character worked better as a slightly more naive youngster.

Jinx looks a little older here, especially in the first panel. Maybe it's the confidence. How old is he, anyway? I don't remember ever seeing that mentioned.

oh, he did quite often until Swampy got his girl pretty much defending him. but that was more for Doc's "feelings" than for Swampy compared to the situation with Jinx here. hehe
I thought he /stapled/ Swampy to the ceiling?

Jinx is like Doc's "adopted son" he would do a lot more for him than Swampy for sure.

Sad puppy eyes, and if this takes place after the battle bot incident, Doc probably trusts Jinx enough with a powersuit to let him use it. Jinx has proven himself able to handle one responsibly, Swampy not so much.
