Further Filler Apologies...
🕑 Added 2019-12-06 10:17:49 +0000 UTCWhile the strip is mostly right, it's not the whole story. Keep it under your hat, but the truth is that part of the recent delays have been because of the next books. :)
I'd wanted to release those back in October as is my established schedule, but I've run into one delay after another. First, I have in fact been busy in the shop, both with customer stuff and a couple of personal projects, some kinda vital, some merely useful.
Second, I got a late start laying out the books, and I seriously underestimated how much work there was going to be- I still had a total of a couple of dozen unfinished strips in that series, ranging from just incompletely colored, to just bare sketches.
AND, this covers the "Longest Day" series, which I wanted to release as a complete storyline, including the night at Howie's afterward. That was partly because it is all one long storyline, really. but also because we're still playing catch-up. The end of the "longest day" still only gets us up to the end of 2016.
As I asked here several months ago, I had strongly considered making it all into one big book, but I simply didn't have the time to do the extra layouts and test prints.
I have the shop pretty well sorted out, I'm down to just three customer jobs and most of my personal stuff can wait. I'll be spending all weekend finishing up the books- I think a Monday release would be too optimistic, but maybe Tuesday or Wednesday.
I do apologize for all the filler and whatnot, and I do very much appreciate your patience. I hope the books will be worth the wait. :)

Actually, that little storyline is included in the forthcoming "night at Howies" book. :)
Just a thought for when you may have a little spare time - I would definitely like to buy a mini-book of the 'Roger's story of the First Night Together' which appeared on the Patreon pages....... Since it will probably only be a smallish run, you could possibly raise a few extra sheckels by offering it, with a suitable explanation to the confused, as a 'special' to non-patrons (possibly enticing a few of them to come on board when they see the goodies that /we/ get!) I wonder if anyone else in your Pateron tribe would be interested....

Thanks, Doc. As I said elsewhere, everything you post on TWB triggers that "new strip!" dopamine hit, even when it's recycled artwork. Also as someone with a bit of a thing for consistency, I'm glad you didn't have time to lay out an odd-sized book ;-). I will of course be ordering it/them the moment they become available.
