Apologies on the update issues, updated!
🕑 Added 2017-12-20 18:17:36 +0000 UTC I/we still don't know exactly what's wrong with the updates. We thought it was some kind of outage between my server and the remote server that does the actual updating, but this is getting to be too regular. We're looking for a glitch in the software or some other explanation.[Update, 12-21:]
I've been given assurances that the issue has been identified and fixed. Hopefully we'll be back to regular updates from here on out. :)

I'm not too worried about it, at least you are responsive to the problem and all that. It's not like we're getting our comics from Overseas Comic And Central Mirth Supply Syndicate, A Division Of Agglomerated Heehaw And Guffaw Services International... Frankly the meta-discussion about "where is the comic" and "what happened this time" is just as entertaining as the comic itself...!

I read a story about a company whose computers mysteriously started rebooting every night around 2am. They scoured the code for weeks but couldn't find any bugs. Finally, they stationed an engineer in the server room to catch the problem in action. Turns out, there was only one power outlet in the room, and the night janitor was pulling the plug on the computers every night so he could plug in his vacuum cleaner. The solution? Buy an extension cord. Anyway, you may want to ask your hosting company to check for non-code problems as well.
