Monday - I share my story
🕑 Added 2025-07-11 23:00:31 +0000 UTCI did a scary thing, but as John and I have covered many LDS centered cases, I’ve tried to be upfront about my faith background and that has created many questions and discussion on what I believe (which I’ve actually never addressed publicly) … until now.
Of course, my faith journey is only a small part of the story. but I finally share it all with two patient listening friends.
It will be a two-part episode and part 1 premieres on Monday .

Lauren, the way you described John's response to you getting the Milwaukee job really stuck with me in a positive way. I loved the way that he was just honest with you about his feelings and made it clear that he wanted to support you. I didn't think for a second that you traded your career to be with him. Instead you both kept your careers and gained an advocate. It was also an honest realistic and little messy retelling. Nothing in life is ever perfectly tidy. And even if the corners of some of your ideal for yourself got bent in the process of choosing a life with John, overall your vision for yourself stayed intact. And to me it doesn't sound like it happened that way inspite of John, but with the support and care of John.
