Red's Weekly Update
🕑 Added 2021-02-03 20:26:27 +0000 UTCHello everyone! As you hopefully saw last week, all of the Reneigh content has been released. I really enjoyed adapting her to more of a pinup-style character, so you'll probably see more AC in the near future.
Getting back into the swing of Unity development after a bit of an illustration break. Don't have much to show visually at the moment. What I'm working on is essentially a level management system, which will be responsible for tracking which level (or dialogue stage or menu) the player is currently on and playing the appropriate music. This will also allow me to dynamically reload the correct level for a Retry after player death (instead of hardcoding it), and dynamically point to the correct Game Over or Win screens. This is one of the last major components to be added to the game. Once this is in place, the final major component will be the animation system for importing and playing the character animations (the actual "action," not just the dialogue wiggles). After that I intend to release a more fully featured demo to help promote the game, but subscribers will get to see a few more early builds along the way. :)
tldr: development is a bit boring right now but progress is being made.
Oh, one more thing. I realize that I've fallen a little bit behind on the monthly request sketch contests, so I will be catching up on that immediately. I'll post the link for $5 patrons shortly, and to make up for missing a month or two, I'll pick two winners for the next couple months!
Thanks for your support, see you again soon!
