A Preview Animatic for the Next Project

Here's a preview animatic of my current large animation project! It's rough, and I imagine you're as happy as I am that I don't do hand drawn animations ๐ Huge props to those that do!
An animatic is like an animated storyboard. Itโs a rough animation that sequences the key frames or sketches of a project, often with dialogue, music, and sound effects. Being only one person, I've had to cut it down to just sketches though. Animatics help animators and filmmakers visualize how a scene will play out, ensuring that pacing, motion, and transitions work well before committing to the full animation process. I think learning this new skill is an important part of the process, helping me better plan and produce my animations in the future.
This project will have interaction between two characters, which is a huge step for me! To better process that challenge, Iโm also creating a smaller animation in parallel to practice and experiment.
As I continue to grow as an animator, I may look into commissioning help with the sketching phase to get better visuals with actual characters and expressions. For now, though, Iโm excited to take this on myself and learn every step of the way.
I expect the smaller animation and more refined previews of the big project done next month. I canโt wait to share my progress and hear your feedback.

I've been thinking the same, honestly... Initially I didn't have it as part of my plan for it. But during my last animation, I really enjoyed playing around with some subtle muscle growth. It's possible that I'll try it out but I also don't want to squeeze so much work in it that it takes too long. Just so I don't promise too much I'll say, I want to do it but it's not the plan. I do think it could help to highlight the bunny's growing power.

Haha, yeah I guess I am ๐ Maybe taking a page out of Zootopia's book and gravitating towards rabbits? Hmm.. At least the other guy is a fox, so there's that xD I'll try to develop my library of character models as I go! Anything you'd particularly like seeing? ^^
