IMPORTANT - Video Issues
🕑 Added 2025-02-02 20:31:40 +0000 UTCHey gang,
It looks like some of you are having issues with the new vids. After talking with a few of you and the new vid host's support team. It may be the DRM settings of your browser, and or your VPN if you are using one. If you are getting errors other than a 404 code. One or both of those issues may be the problem.
Here's a link to to a guide of how to enable DRM content in your Browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, Opera etc.) https://usefoyer.com/blog/how-to-turn-on-drm
Also, you may need to turn off your VPN while viewing the videos.

Im still getting the black screen issue somebody else brought up in the previous post about this. I checked to see if DRM was enabled and I dont have my VPN enabled
Mr. Me
Correct. DRM is on by default, and turning my VPN off changes nothing.

Your version of Chrome is updated to the newest version, you've enabled DRM content, and you are not using a VPN?
Mr. Me
Desktop computer with Chrome.

The videos were giving me some problems before, but they aren't anymore. I assume the host changed something, since the video GUI is different now. Even when they did give me issues, it was intermittent. None of the videos would load all day, but then if I came back another day they would load fine. Then later, they would stop loading again. I hadn't changed anything in my settings, so I think it was on the provider's end. But again, whatever it was seems to have been fixed, at least for me.

I am guessing the above does not apply to me but: I'll test more, DRM is on by default for most browsers, and I do not use VPN. I will see if i can find failures in that timeframe I mentioned, I believe at the time i was able to pull a 404 error out of it nothing regarding DRM. Just need to cap the errors in the stream and send it to you next time. But I have not had issues since I last reached out to you anyway, so hopefully there was other changes in effect that helped as well.
