This post is publicly available this week! Anyone can request the things. But the results will be rewards for their respective tiers!
- I'm drawing BJs for Tier 5 ($50). So who is gonna be sucking dongus?
- And probably something with my own OCs for Tier 3 ($10). So for that, request some content or activity or outfit or whatever for them to wear or do.
We're also approaching a point in our Subscribestar journey that I have previously reached back on Patreoooonn. There are a healthy number of supporters across all most tiers, but this also means that the sheer statistics of getting a request chosen are severely weighed against everyone. As (relatively) productive as I am, I can't keep up with THAT many ideas
This isn't really a BAD thing, but it's does sow a little bit of apathy for the masses. Why suggest anything when you're just so unlikely to get picked? Polls might seem like an okay counter to this, and I might run a few, but they lead to the same situation. The choice becomes OBVIOUSLY clear in a landslide victory within minutes. Alternatively, the winner still doesn't beat out ALL of the losers combined, which means more people LOST than won. And that's just as disappointing.
So I'm thinking about alternatives. In the past, I just bypassed suggestion boxes and polls entirely. Instead I just made sure I curated a healthy amount of popular / classic / unpopular waifus / OCs / Fanarts and content types. And that honestly worked fine. But I don't want to openly disregard involvement if possible.
So for now, I think my plan is to adjust the $10 tier a little, at least on occasion. If I make it similar to the $20 tier with three simpler draws instead of one big one. And stream these more regularly too. But I'm already streaming WAY more often than the past. And honestly I think that's a great way to stay connected. Ultimately it might be the best way overall...
TL;DR: I AM VERY THANKFUL FOR EVERYONE'S SUPPORT AND WANT TO ACTIVELY COMMUNICATE WITH YOU ALL, EVEN AS COMMUNICATION (due to the fact that you are all growing and I am still one person) BECOMES STATISTICALLY MORE DIFFICULT.
