Update on story requests site

As you all know bksaudio.com is where we host all of the story requests currently. We made an update post back in December about what is now happening with the site. Link HERE.
The Secret Tier has 2 story submissions and 10 votes per month.
We will now have two of our admin team keeping their eyes on the story request site and updating it more regularly (once a week). So that there are less scenarios where, for example, a submission that happens in early January, doesn't get approved until a few weeks later and then gets buried under newer submissions.
Now, I want to add an important caveat, because an idea is on there, does not mean it will get produced unfortunately.
The three primary things that factor into our decision to produce something are:
1) what gets the most votes/high number of votes
2) what we think we could do the best job with script/story wise and...
c) what the authors want to write as well. (We can't make authors do requests they're not feeling, that's how we get bad content that is rushed and lacks the passion needed)
Additional things to this include, if a VA is currently available and not tied down with many other projects, if we have produced similar things before etc.
In the past we've been hesitant to include a 'currently in production' from the requests because life stuff happens basically and can change the course of things, writers get sick, editors have children, disruptions happen. So we don't want people to be left disappointed but if you'd like a 'currently in production' from the requests site to be pinned on Patreon or something in the post where the link to all the audios are. Just let us know.

it's April 12th and i still don't have my new votes for the month. the website shows that i have one votes left and some requests are voted, like it's still March. can anyone please check what's wrong?

Mine don't make it either but then they've turned up as audios. I think they take some ideas and put them directly into production consideration if they like them. So you're probably doing something right!

Hey there 👋🏼. I had never heard of these. Thanks for mentioning them by title. 1. Robinson's catalog is so big I think his needs sub divisions by now, lol plus 2. he's not my favorite VA so I don't think I would have gotten to them without someone directly bringing them up. I'm glad you did. Obviously it would be nice to see Ti inson go off and be a real daddy, instead of a Dom Daddy type but I think "more than just a ONS" I think stands nicely on its own. I still need to get through "with these hands" but anytime there is some kinda war it makes sense to find out the "why" & "what" brought it to that point.

I’d love to know that a request or a project is being handled, no matter it just got picked or considered or in the production already. In this case I could avoid submitting similar ideas or stuffs. But as others said it might be hella workload so i think just do what you guys find enjoyable? I would never want anyone overwork

Maybe instead of a “currently in production” indicator, something like a “moved to the to do list”. So folks understand that it’s being worked on but not necessarily imminent depending on the team’s availability?

Personally I don’t think the “currently in production” post is the best idea. I feel like the team would be put under an unnecessary pressure to complete those audios.

Maybe some indication of scripts authors/ actors are interested in? Just like, "Oh that's a cool idea," it's non-committal enough that it doesn't feel like an indication of what's going to happen, but does give an idea that someone's interested in seeing it.

I think it would be interesting for fans to submit their own script ideas if they know how to apply the format and the fans can vote on them, the same as with regular prompt ideas, authors/editors or VAs can pick what sounds interesting and if they decide to go forward with the vibe in the script they can make stylistic or personal changes as needed with improv and almost half the work is already done. It might take about 25% of the workload and pressure off to meet every expectation.

Honestly for me, I want to leave it up to BKS and whatever your guys decide and what is easier for everyone! I know life can get messy and unpredictable at times so things may not alway go according to plan. I will accept everything BKS has to offer with open arms whenever possible! Keep up the amazing work, no matter what and no matter how you need to take care of things!

I think it's a good idea to put something like that and if a VA or a writer get busy or sick they can put another list were it's being put on hold if you add a current in progress. And you guys are great but for your sake please take care of yourselfs if it's too much Love y'all!

I thought about the "currently in production" status before and almost suggested something similar. But on second thought, while I am curious to know what happened to my submissions, having a status would take away some of the magic of getting surprised by what's posted next. And I mentioned it on the other thread but will drop it here again. Maybe you could have a posting date instead of a submission date. That would take some pressure off you guys to get everything sorted out as quickly as possible—just my thoughts. Thank you for the update!

I'd love a "currently in production" area — for everything, not just stories we've requested. I love getting a teaser to what's coming. I would especially like it as someone who has never had a story suggestion posted on the voting site. I've seen my ideas turned into audios so I'm guessing you pull some to production consideration instead of voting. It would be really nice to see that information somewhere.
