To Dive or not to Dive

‘I’m such a fucking loser,’ Lenny quietly mumbled to himself.
He was at the local aquatic centre with his friends spending the day cooling off with some relaxing summer holiday fun. They had suggested doing the diving platforms and of course he had agreed to it, talking a high opinion of himself despite being equally afraid of heights as he was of being in deep water. It was a horrible combination for anyone wanting to utilize the Olympic sized diving platforms. He had really wanted to impress everybody by going off the high platform with them. Even some of the others wouldn’t jump off the top; he should have just tried the lower one. Everyone was coaxing him on, ‘you can do it’ ‘jump Lenny’ but he froze up. Now he was sulkily walking down the steps slightly shaky from the height as he wormed his way through grinning faces to the lower platform.
The middle one, he could do that surely, it was half the height as the top but still he felt mortified as he stood perched over the edge. His friends were sitting along the edge of the pool paddling there feet as they watched to see if he would do it. Nothing happened, he sighed shakily stepping back and walking down even further to the lowest. He felt like he would cry, this was humiliating he could never live this down. He’s friends weren’t nasty people, quite the opposite but the fact he talked such a big game and not being able to stick with it would cause quite an uproar. The lowest platform that’s where he found himself now, at least he wasn’t so shaky it was much lower than the others. Even his friends hadn’t used this one, it was kind of pathetic, still a couple of meters above water mostly used for a bit of fun rather than competition.
But still he couldn’t go through with the jump. ‘Come on.’ He urged himself, clutching hard on one side of the railing as he walked over to the diving board. He tested his footing putting one foot on the board, he looked over and saw his friends sniggering and whispering to each other. They probably just thought he was putting on a bit of an act; he was always the jokester stirring the pot. He finally let go of the railing and now had both feet planted firmly at the start of the board. ‘Just fall off, it doesn’t even have to look good just go over the edge.’ He looked over at the deep pool; the life guard was watching not far away nothing bad would happen. At this point he had a rather large audience watching curiously at the spectacle, why this young adult just refused to jump off the smallest board. He was feeling so anxious now, he hated having this much attention he just wanted to slink off into the shadows and not be the centre of attention.
He took another step forward the board shook slightly and he immediately stepped back. Now he was really shaking as he heard laughter from below. “Don’t be a pussy!” He heard someone shout. He suddenly felt a trickle splash the inside of his dry board shorts. He quickly clamped down on his crotch and stepped back again against the railing. ‘Fuck, fuck, I just pissed myself.’ It was only a tiny bit but enough to leave a mark on the front of his shorts. He was afraid if he let go he would burst and soak himself, this was humiliating. Thankfully he was pretty sure no one knew what was going on, he heard a voice from behind and glanced down the staircase to see a sweet middle-aged woman ushering to him.
“You don’t have to jump; you have nothing to prove just come with me its ok.”
He looked down at her sweet smile, he had never seen this woman before but he felt so compelled to follow her. He slowly used one hand to creep down the stairs the other still firmly clutching against his groin. On the lowest step she moved forward and gently grabbed both of his hands, thankfully they were the only ones at this end of the board so no one could easily see what was happening. As soon as Lenny’s hands were taken away from him and he lost his grip there was this immense pressure in his bladder and he quickly flooded himself. Piss flowed freely through his thin red board shorts, streaking down his legs and splashing on the tiled floor below. The woman quietly waited for him to finish before leading him away from the scene.
“It’s ok accidents happen there’s no need to be ashamed, I’m Imma by the way, what’s your name?”
Lenny turned to look back at the mess he made and saw the lifeguard throwing a bucket of water over his puddle.
Blushing he replied. “It’s Lenny, where are you taking me?”
“To get cleaned up Lenny I saw you up there, you are definitely not ready for the big kid pools sweet boy.”
Imma strode confidently down the walkway a firm grip on Lenny’s hand keeping him in tow. They received a few strange glances but none long enough to really hone in on the fact his shorts were soaked but the rest of him was bone dry. She stopped in front of private changing room locked to the public; pulling out her keychain she quickly opened the door before pushing him inside. Everything started to go by in a blur, from the realisation that Imma worked here to the moment she pulled down Lenny’s soaked board shorts. Standing before her in the nude and being wiped down with a towel while he stood there desperately trying to cover himself. She made quick work of the ordeal and then gently coaxed him to lie down on a clean towel.
Ashamed and unable to process anything with a sound mind he submitted to her whim and lay down unsure of what to expect. The thick swim diaper was the last thing he expected to be pulled from the cupboard and brought over to him. What was even worse was how he went along with what happened next. He hardly needed prompting to raise his bottom for her to slide the thick plastic covered diaper under him. He sat back down willingly, his bum enjoying the nice plump cushion waiting beneath him. It was quickly and firmly strapped over him, the Velcro sealing it tight to his body. He only had a moment to notice the juvenile aquatic designs dotting the blue diaper before he was whisked to his feet.
He clung tightly to Imma’s arm barely registering anything she had been saying as they walked into the corridor. This time there were even more curious glances and laughter directed at the big boy dressed in his swim diaper as he held on to her desperately. He was afraid that he was being led back to his friends but thankfully they took a different turn and he ended up in the babies pool being dropped off and gently pushed down to a sitting position. The water quickly saturated his diaper but didn’t go higher than his waist as he sank down wishing for the earth to just swallow him whole. He remained there seated and unmoved until Imma returned dressed in her one piece bathing suit and blowing up a pair of floaties that she slid over his arms.
Now he had the complete look of a toddler with no choice but to go along with her silly games as she splashed him and passed him some pool toys to play with. He wasn’t sure if time was even moving it all felt so still and unnatural, this moment peaked so quickly as his lowest point that it was all feeling so unreal. He only hoped that someone would come to his rescue and speed him away, or maybe it was a dream and soon hopefully he would wake up. But none of that happened until eventually he was led back to the main hall where his friends were waiting. After the initial shock of wondering where he had been they were all quick to laughter and looks of bewilderment.
Imma placed her hand atop his shoulder and addressed the group.
“Make sure next time Lenny come’s he’s wearing his swim diaper, we can’t have him peeing all over the place.”
They all cracked up and promised to make sure he was properly dressed for their return. Imma gave Lenny a hug and a gentle pat on his wet bottom before leaving him to be tormented by his friends as they left the centre.
Why oh why had he signed up for the full summer pass, this was going to be a long six weeks.
