Marvin followed alongside Jan hand in hand she led him through a windy corridor. The walls were adorned with pictures of smiling, joyful faces and an uncountable amount of juvenile art projects. They soon stopped in front of a colourful blue door; Jan hesitated opening it as she rested her hand on the handle. She looked back at Marvin who waited with nervous anticipation; he could hear childish laughter coming from the other side. He looked back to Jan as her eyes travelled downward she planted her gaze firmly on his thick diaper. She stared at him for a moment, deep in thought as she contemplated whatever it was that she was thinking.
“I think….. you might be better off suited elsewhere.” She said removing her hand away from the door handle.
Taking a moment to choose her next words carefully, Jan gently rested her hand on Marvin’s shoulder. “We need to put you somewhere that is…. Better equipped at dealing with your potty issues.”
As if to better emphasize her point, she took her hand off his shoulder and cupped the front of his diaper the motion causing it to crinkle loudly as it rustled. Their journey continued down the hall stopping in front of another similar door, this one coloured bright yellow. Both Marvin’s and Jan’s eyes were drawn to a day care worker carrying a babbling infant into the room across from them. She smiled to them as she went inside leaving the door ajar for a moment giving Marvin a quick look as his eyes travelled past her to the room. He couldn’t see much but it was enough to give him a good enough impression that the room was clearly intended for babies. Cribs lined the back wall and nursery rhymes played from the speakers echoing into the hallway. A few workers were dotting around the place with their charges each with their diaper left proudly on display just like him.
As the door was shut gently behind them blocking the room from view and sealing in the music, Jan turned her attention back to him.
“Why don’t we see how you go here first, if you think it’s a bit much then we can take you there it will be no problem.”
Marvin blushed, did she really think he was looking so longingly into that room he was merely curious. He wasn’t a stupid baby, but as his mind ran through the dialogue his diaper crinkled loudly, almost as if it was transmitting its rebuttal directly into his subconscious, reminding him of his infantile state. This room was at least a step up from that one he realised as he was led inside. No cribs or even a change table, he saw a sign next to the bathroom so at least there was some modesty to be had here. There were plenty of tables set up with crafts, toys scattered all over and a television set with a video game console plugged in.
He was definitely the oldest kid here though that was clearly apparent. Most worrisome though was the fact that all of them were fully dressed meaning he would be the only one here with his diapered state announced to the world. He saw many heads turn and openly laughing at him, whispering amongst each other. Surely he couldn’t be left here like this, suddenly Marvin felt terrified he didn’t want to leave Jan’s side and found himself tucking in tightly behind her as they crossed the room. He didn’t even notice the jet of pee he let loose in fear pooling into his diaper until he felt the warmth pressing up against his groin.
“May this is Marvin; he will be joining your group today.”
The younger woman eyed Marvin suspiciously she can’t have been more than a few years older than he. She walked over to them curiously eying him up and down.
“Ummmm is this for real.” She whispered standing right up close to Jan.
“See for yourself.” Jan replied, pulling Marvin’s diaper up higher for a better view.
May cupped the front of his diaper feeling the warmth from his recent wetting.
“Well he certainly needs his diapers that much is certain. But does he really not get to wear pants?”
Jan chuckled. “He’s a heavy wetter; his Auntie dropped him off like this so we can keep a better eye on when he needs changing. From what I’ve heard I expect he will be in a very droopy diaper in no time.”
“How often should I change him then?” May asked curiously, pulling the back of Marvin’s diaper to see if he was messy.
Jan responded. “As often as you think is necessary, I have a diaper bag for him I’ll leave in the bathroom. If it all comes to much for you or him feel free to drop the little guy across the hall, I’ll be with the babies all day.”
“It’s ok I’m sure I’ll manage.” May gave Marvin a reassuring pat on his diapered backside; she was surprised he had remained silent this whole time.
Jan pulled Marvin into a hug. “You be on your best behaviour May will take good care of you sweetie.” She let go of his hand and Marvin found himself quite reluctant to let her go.
He stood beside May watching as Jan retreated out the room, offering a quick wave before departing. Marvin felt tears building in the corners of his eyes and it was all he could do to stop himself from bawling his eyes out. He didn’t even know her that well but he felt much safer than been left here with this woman who he had never seen before in a room with a bunch of toddlers who he was sure would constantly make fun of him.
As Jan left shutting the door behind her May turned back to Marvin.
“At your age still in diapers and being dropped off at Daycare, not much of a man are you.”
Marvin felt himself tremble, this woman was hardly older than he was but the power dynamic was apparent. She could do whatever she wanted with him and he wouldn’t have the strength or courage to fight it. He stood there helplessly watching the big grin plastered across her face, as another spurt of urine pooled into his increasingly wet diaper.
