EPILOGUE
It’s been three months since that fateful trip to the park where Dylan experienced his first brush with regression. It took some time but eventually Dylan no longer had to be coerced into his diapers and would submit to a fresh change gleefully. Unfortunately he was still jobless but that no longer bothered Melony. Something changed within her that day at the park, awakening her maternal instincts early as if she were a mother who just gave birth to a newborn. She quickly grew fond of the intimate sessions she experienced with Dylan when changing him or feeding him. She even took over his bathing insisting she be in charge of almost every aspect in his life. Gradually Dylan’s walls were broken down and he allowed Melony to take charge of his day to day living and quickly became reliant on her.
Whenever Dylan was apart from Melony he would instantly feel the broken connection and become distressed, a side effect caused by all the time they now spent together. Therefor Dylan could no longer be left alone and was often babysat by Cheryl while Melony worked. Cheryl of course had no problem with this and welcomed any time she had to spend with her son. Desperately wanting another chance to experience raising a child she had hoped Dylan and Melony would give her grandchildren to feel the empty space in her heart. But a second chance at raising Dylan was just as perfect in her mind. She could control when and if he would be allowed another chance of adulthood again, Melony was clearly on her side and enjoyed the new relationship dynamic she had now she was in charge.
Melony still spent a lot of her free time with Elaine, they would regularly go out for girl’s night on weekends and sometimes if Cheryl was busy she would leave Dylan with Dom to babysit alongside their two boys. That was the most humiliating trade off since losing his maturity and Dylan would throw a tantrum whenever he was dropped off there especially since Dom no longer saw him as an equal and would speak down to him like a child. After one particularly bad tantrum Dom had had enough and pulled Dylan’s wet diaper down his legs and gave his bottom the thrashing of a lifetime in front of Elaine and Melony. After standing the teary eyed boy in the corner for an hour with a throbbing behind he didn’t dear throw another tantrum at Dom and Elaine’s place again.
Melony still allowed Dylan to sleep in the master bedroom with her, but when he had been misbehaving or she simply thought he was due for some further baby treatment he was exiled to his nursery. Custom made baby furniture sized up to someone Dylan’s size covered the room. A large white poster crib dominated the room, alongside that was a dresser with a rubber laminated top designed for diaper changes. There was also a large rocking horse which Cheryl had paid for as a ‘baby shower’ gift she called it. There was also a toy chest mostly filled with toy soldiers and Lego’s but there were also stuffed bears and a rattle. Dylan would never play with the really babyish toys but occasionally someone would force him to in order to take a cute baby photo or just to tease him.
After spending the past three months in diapers 24/7 Dylan had almost completely lost full control of his bladder. He quickly got used to his diapers and the instant he felt a tug or small amount of pressure he would let go releasing a spurt of pee into his soft diapers. This had an adverse effect on his control and soon he no longer even felt the need and his bladder would just release automatically. This distressed him to no end but luckily Melony was there to relax him and remind him that babies used their diapers and this was normal behaviour. Thankfully he still had control over his bowels and he was often able to do his number 2’s right before Melony would change him, ensuring he never had to spend more time then what was necessary in a stinky diaper.
Dylan wasn’t sure wasn’t sure how he exactly felt about all these changes. Sure he liked the close intimacy that had blossomed between himself and Melony, but was it really worth the humiliation he now endured. The diaper’s weren’t as bad as he originally made them out to be and the attention he got from Melony was great too. Even his mother no longer put pressure on him and his decisions in life and would just enjoy the company that they shared, even if she did treat him like he were no longer capable of doing anything that a baby couldn’t do.
The biggest problem for him was the way they treated him in public, they paid no mind to the strange stares that would be directed his way but Dylan never failed to notice them. There stares would barrel through his skull as he locked eyes with them on multiple occasions whenever Melony or Cheryl would decide it was time for a diaper check and tug the back of whatever childish pair of clothing he had been forced into. He had begged and pleaded for them to at least tone down the infantile treatment whenever they were out, but unfortunately to no avail. He was forced to endure bibs and bottles whenever they were eating at a restaurant and diaper changes in the women’s bathrooms whenever it was required.
Dylan hoped that one day he would get used to embarrassment and would be able to supress it, but unfortunately that day had yet to come. He could only hope that in the future he would learn to embrace every part of his new baby life and that maybe sometime in the future he would be allowed to grow up again and ask Melony to marry him. He was pretty sure if he did no she would say yes, but he was afraid of what treatment he might undergo during the wedding ceremony. He had managed to keep his new lifestyle secret from most of his old friends and acquaintances, but it was only a matter of time before they found out. Dylan twisted over in his playpen hearing his diaper crinkle beneath his blue Tonka truck overalls. He looked up at the time on the clock, only thirty minutes to go then ‘mommy’ will be home from work he thought smiling to himself. He couldn’t wait to show her the cool building he had made with his lego’s and he was definitely due for a diaper change!
