The beaches of Florida
🕑 Added 2024-03-27 16:13:27 +0000 UTCI went down to Florida this week with a friend of mine purely for vacation and we shot a ton of self portraits. I wanted to show her many of the reasons I love Florida and I think she did find many of them inspiring! I'm so glad. It was a chilly week though! And we got cold so quickly, especially near the water, but it ended up being worth it every time. The world is so special. Like just magical on its own.
Another friend sent me an AI image, stating how she wishes the world could be as beautiful as that image, and I informed her it was. She hasn't seen all the beautiful places just in her own backyard. I sent her a few images of locations in the Southeast around where we b oth live, and she fell in love with one spot not to far from her own house. The image was of the peach blossoms. They are hard to see. They grow one time of the year for about a week and it's unpredictable which week that will be. I've missed them every year for years. Somehow a few weeks ago I saw an advertisement from a field to come take photos of them on their last day. It was perfect timing. I could just get there in their final hour to take their photos. I should've posted them here, but I haven't gotten the photos back yet. Imagine a short pink forest! It's as if from fantasy. They'll be back again next year and hopefully every year after.
Nature is ever growing and changing. The mountains and waterfalls can be here for centuries and then one day collapse in on themselves. The mountains are slowly sinking and eroding, and something new will replace them. Maybe a desert of canyons, maybe a new forest of mahogany, maybe a lake.. I don't need to go to every beautiful spot on this Earth to cherish or appreciate how marvelous it is.
Florida is almost the backyard of Georgia, and look at this incredible beach of driftwood. I feel like a little fairy hovering in the trees. I'm like a stick bug that can camouflage into my surroundings. We're just a part of this Earth and we often have a choice in enjoying these wild natural spots only a few hours from our own houses.

It's always a joyful experience to see you in these beautiful backdrops...You're right, there are so many beautiful places in this world. You being in those places and creating art for us to see, always makes me smile...
