Cameo Call: On Borrowed Time Chapter 10
🕑 Added 2024-11-11 05:49:43 +0000 UTCNow that private interpersonal character interactions are on their way out for the chapter, we're coming up on some open cameo slots! As always, be sure to read the general guidelines and scene-specific guidelines before submitting your cameos. Very minor spoilers below for upcoming scene locations.
General Cameo Guidelines:
- To submit your cameo, you can either link it in the comments of this post or DM it to me. If possible, include image references- though a well-worded description can also work in a pinch.
- Fakemon or non-pokemon species will be unable to participate. Likewise, fusions that don't have a main recognizable species will not be selected. With that in mind however, I'm totally willing to tweak designs into subspecies to fit the world, with your permission!
- Legendary pokemon will most likely be exempt from this cameo call. You're welcome to ask anyway since some legendary/mythical species casually populate the world, but most likely they won't be able to be included.
- I will do my absolute best to include at least one cameo per patron, but depending on participation there just may not be enough space. If you're not selected this time, I'll try my best to prioritize those who missed out in the next cameo call!
- After the cameo calls end, you're welcome to still DM me your character information, but I may not be able to include them until a later cameo roster needs to be filled.
Cameo Call #1 - Closes November 17th @ 10:00 PM PST
While in the cafe, there's a clamoring! A famous explorer has entered the building, and with him draws a big crowd...
Scene specific guidelines:
- Characters in this scene are all fans of this explorer- feel free to let me know how you think your character would express their adoration! Asking for an autograph? Geeking out? Trying to keep it cool?
- Cannot be part of Cameo Call #3 or #4.
Cameo Call #2 - Closes December 1st @ 10:00 PM PST
The team goes on a travel montage not unlike that from Chapter 7, traveling across the continent towards their destination.
Scene specific guidelines:
- Cameo spots for this one may be a bit slim since I expect the montage to be only a page or two, so you may want to prioritize other cameo slots first.
- Cannot be part of Cameo Call #3 or #4.
Cameo Call #3 - Closes December 15th @ 10:00PM PST
Looking for residents to live within a certain dungeon!
Scene specific guidelines:
- Due to the culture and location for this scene, cameos must be a member of one of these evolutionary lines:
Shinx, Plusle, Minun, Mareep, Electabuzz, Girafarig, Pikachu, Electrike, Blitzle, Helioptile, Pawmi, Raging Bolt
- Pokemon from the above lines that are excluded from this cameo call include Luxray, Manectric, Ampharos, and Pawmot.
- Other electric-type pokemon (or rudimentary electric-types, as Malachi would put it) may be considerations, though are not guaranteed.
- Cannot be a part of Cameo Call #1 or #2.
Cameo Call #4 - Closing Date TBA
Miss out on Cameo Call #3? Residents can still be added later on for Part 3 of Chapter 10! No closing date on this one because it's expected to be such a long part of the chapter, though as such it will take a while for cameos to show up.

oooh, this is exciting to be part of a cameo call - i hope i'm doing it right since i've not joined one before! i've got this character here who i think would fit best for cameo call #2 as he's someone on the run with a specific goal, and he's not a species that fits with the list of pokemon for the third and fourth ones - but he IS a mimikyu, so i suppose it could be funny for him to be there instead on account of that! https://toyhou.se/12042737.soleil/37688415 this is his reference sheet - i think the only things i would note that aren't explicitly written on it are that the eye of his costume doesn't emote, only the one showing from under the torn fabric, and he doesn't hold a stick for a tail. hopefully that's enough information, and no worries if it ends up that all the cameo slots are full - i'm fine with a cameo later down the line if that would suit you better!

aaaaa i was able to get a ref finally hi i'm the person who was asking if i could use my friend's sona! he's a luxray (so i know he is out for #3 and #4), so if i could get #1 preferably that'd be great! I have an Eevee to present for Calls #1 and #2: https://imgur.com/a/lD0BUiw For Call #1, I think they could be studying the famous explorer for weaknesses from afar, perhaps looking to challenge them (Or send a challenge letter their way!). For Call #2, perhaps this 'Vee could be spotted ramming their horns into a tree for fruits or berries? Maybe they could rough-house with another horned 'Mon!

Omgosh! That's amazing ;w;! I'd offer my little galaxy (fairy type) fennekin! #1 or #2 works! Her entire inside jokes is pretty much mystery eggs /boiled eggs(not poke). Personality is somewhere between a mirmir shyfox hiding behind stuff and hyperfennekin. I imagine for #1 she'd probably be the type to want a mystery egg signed and be so moved to the point of happy tears! Cameo 1 or 2: Team Mirage is a team of a Skitty (Lilly) and a Unovan Zorua (Echo). Lilly is happy excited and curious in nature, while Echo is more grumpy and mistrustful. If in cameo 1, Lilly would be talking fast to Echo about the explorer. I have two perfect characters for scenes 1 and 2. https://imgur.com/a/pokesonas-o9e66Uz For scene 1, there is a Shiny Salandit guy in my roster, Caerus at the very end of the link that would fit the geeking out part of the scene. Caerus would try to take his picture with him if he could even get over his shyness hence the hoodie covering his eyes. He would even blush if the person gives them any attention, possibly falling for them. For scene 2, if it's a traveling shot, it would be funny to have Craft the Ponyta or him as a Rapidash come in from the background looking confident seeing a party make their way doing all they can to look dignified if they even catch a glimpse of him with his gray scarf.

Hm, I've got a char fitting well into the role of Cameo Call #2 Ebony the Mightyena, a lone wolf roaming colder regions, taking small jobs here and there (bounty hunter style). she's also about 50% bigger than average and blind on both eyes (which is why they're greyed out). https://www.deviantart.com/stash/0zl993hzl3z If that doesn't work, which would be fine. Definitely think my Kanto Vulpix Sona would fit well with Cameo #1, though could also see them also being a Guild member in Cameo #2 return back to their last job (probably injured) ! Definitely my Vulpix is more of an adventurer, looking for the next job with an eccentric personality sprinkled in with a bit of immaturity! I don’t have a particular design for this one yet so feel free to take artistic liberties and I may yoink them lol. Thought more grass types should have seasonal variations, so I am in the process of designing a grovile with a fall color gradient like green into a yellow ish color, and the leaf on the back of his head is a fall shaped leaf. I have decided on the name grovey and in the first scene he would probably be nervous and in the back but clearly wants to say hi. He’s very fidgety lol. Wish I could link something but I’m awful at drawing.

Flora is a wandering merchant that explores dungeons, salvaging items found to be sold for a profit to those not brave enough to explore the depths. Not part of a guild, but maybe a stall in town or a shop by the beach. If Seltzer ends up admiring the hero, he'd probably just rush up and stammer and rant nonstop about how cool they are, and completely forget to ask for an autograph until it's too late. It's so cool that you ask for cameos like this from the fans ^^ and thanks for such an amazing comic, I'm absolutely hooked and it's even gotten me back into playing PMD again!
