Social nudity, or naturism, is very old. The concept of naturism is not a new phenomenon; its roots date back to the 18th and 19th centuries, when it emerged as a response to the Industrial Revolution and the resulting isolation from nature. It was a means to counteract the negative effects of modern society (stress, pollution, and artificiality) by returning to a simpler, more natural way of life.

El arte es una herramienta muy potente para fomentar la desnudez social, sin connotación sexual.
Desnudez social o naturismo, es muy antiguo. El concepto de naturismo no es un fenómeno nuevo; sus raíces se remontan a los siglos XVIII y XIX, cuando surgió como respuesta a la Revolución Industrial y al consiguiente aislamiento de la naturaleza. Era un medio para contrarrestar los males de la sociedad moderna (estrés, contaminación y artificialidad) volviendo a un modo de vida más simple y natural.
