Sunday Nights
🕑 Added 2023-06-05 01:12:10 +0000 UTCSunday nights are weird. It’s that quiet restlessness before the work week begins, trying to soak up the last bit of the weekend but also thinking about all that needs to be done this week.
Growing up, Sunday nights were weird. As a kid I spent those evenings in church. I didn’t mind too much because I was a lonely homeschooled kid and church was my entire social life. It was extra exciting if we got to go out to eat after Sunday night church with other families. Wendy’s had a buffet back in the day and 30-40 of us would end up there after Sunday night church. Those are actually good memories.
As a teenager I went to youth group on Sunday nights. Plenty of weird memories there.
Now, I love having nowhere to go unless I choose to go out. Currently, I’m in my bed with my wet hair in a towel just thinking about how far I’ve come. It’s been a really weird ride and I’m so happy to have made it this far into freedom.

Sunday’s are such a mix these days. I love the freedom of not having to do anything. But also am planning for the week ahead which is never super relaxing lol. But glad to not feel obligated to do things. It’s a plus
I’ve totally been there. Not for 7 1/2 years though. It takes quite some time to heal after experiences like that and for the body to catch on that it is safe from that toxic environment.
My last job was so toxic, I would get nausea just thinking about going to work on Monday. It’s been 7 1/2 years, and I still get it from time to time.
