Drum Machine 101 - The Book (September Update)

While we're in the post-production phase of the newest episode here is another update to the book with a new chapter: "909 Guidelines" (and a smaller one "808 Guidelines"). This is the summary of the technical research we've been doing for our "Short History of the 909" video. It was essential for us to be able to authentically program the patterns on an external sequencer and we thought it might be interesting to you as well!
We also updated the tempo multiplier table with percentage values for all you Hapax users out there. The next chapter will be about microtiming :)
If anything should be unclear, if you find an error or you feel like something is missing just drop us a line - either here in the comments or via PM. Any feedback is welcome!

Hi Mike! Our idea was that we keep the DM101 book mostly universal, which allows you to get to know the concepts behind everything. For specific machines you can always consult our Cheat Sheets https://www.patreon.com/posts/83741168 which are much more condensed and suited for everyday use :)

with the kenton midi kit you get full velocity control of each voice as well

on the 808 guidelines - cant a sequencer have 2 parts and each part is 16 x 2 (A+B variations) long = 64 steps
