totally, mostly these just teach me programming, patterns I would not have otherwise considered trying, the sounds are almost not even relevant. but sometimes I do wonder, "how did they do that?" and wish I knew the machine out of intellectual curiosity, although more and more its probbaly less knowable as software takes over. Anyway, thanks as always

Hi Kenny, whenever we're confident which drum machine was used we usually write it into the notes under the first part in a transcription. But the good thing about the drum patterns is that they are pretty much universal, you can play them with whatever sounds you like :)

Hey Cap, quick question, i noticed in the videos youll usually mention the type of drum machine used, but in the transcriptions it doesnt say, or not that ive seen. Ive done 12 or 13 of them and sometimes i can use my ear, but other time i just cant find the sound. It probably speaks to my inability to duplicate soubds by ear accurately. Do you ever do that? Like just put 808 or 909 or whatever at the top? Or have you already done it and I’m missing something?
