My favourite bit of trivia about William Lyon Mackenzie is that some of the spiritualists he went to consult were members of Dan Ackroyd’s family. My least favourite bit of trivia was that the gorgeous Kingsmere Estate, which was given to the people of Canada, is that big because he was basically the honey daiquiri guy from Mame and was trying to control the neighbourhood.
