This story has become insane. The Anna Apocryphal Tale Can’t Buy Me Love is going to clock in at around about a very weighty 30k words. That’s a lot. That’s three standard Self Insert chapters. I genuinely don’t know if I’m gonna get it done before April. To lessen the editing load on MinuteRice I’ve actually sent him the completed first half already, which is another 6k words longer than the draft I posted last month. This one... I will admit, this one kinda got away from me. I wasn’t expecting the plucky redheaded merchant to inspire me so, but she has. I do apologise for the delays, but I’d rather get this right than rush it and deliver a half-assed product. Ya know, like Blizzard used to do. But yeah, if it’s not done by the end of March, it’ll be done in the first week of April. Worst case scenario, I split it up, give y’all a finished half before the end of the month, and do the second half in the first week of April. Let me know if that’s what you’d prefer.
So, Self Insert Support Slot Filler B will be ready by the end of the month, too. A quick canon short about what’s going on with the various characters while the General is away. This one’s gonna focus on Lucina, because it’s been a fuck-long time since I’ve written her perspective and I wanna make sure I still can.
Aside from all that, I don’t really have much else to say. I know things are getting a little crazy out there with this pandemic going on. People are losing their jobs, getting hours cut, all kinds of horrible shit. If you are one of those people affected by the financial side of the virus then please, don’t hesitate to drop your pledge or to reduce it to the lowest tier. I’m lucky, my roster is still full at work, but I know a lot of you aren’t, so please don’t put yourselves out on my account. Stay safe, everyone.
Now for something a little brighter. I had an echo-cardiogram the other day, which in layman’s terms is an ultrasound of the heart. The poor cardiologist had to stop about halfway through because I had started breaking up in hysterics. This poor woman is asking “what? What’s so funny?” as I’m laughing in her face, and I just didn’t have the heart (get it?) to tell her that her 29 year old patient was cracking up because his aortic valve looked like a butthole. I AM AN ADULT!
And on that note, that’s all from me this week! I’ll throw some polls for SI!Dark together either later today or tomorrow (if I don’t forget again), and hopefully I get this Annapocryphal done on time. Stay safe, friends, and be good to each other in these trying times. Nagaspeed.
