As most of you know I still work a full time job and make the youtube videos, run this patreon, comment, learn, take care of the Bobs,... in my free time after work. It is hard sometimes (that's what she said) but I enjoy it most of the time! Although, I have to admit the editing can get tiring sometimes after a full day of work already.
That being said, since I'm just winging this and have no idea what I'm doing, I want to make sure you guys on here have the best experience so is there anything I can do to improve that? Ofcourse I also only have 24hours/day so not everything will be possible.
For the free patrons is there anything I can do extra to make you consider joining a paid tier? Ofcourse I'm not doing this for the money but I put in 30+ hours per video (and even more commenting, learning editing, researching,...) and terrariums is a low paying niche on youtube so for a lot of videos I'm not making minimum wage (and that is fine because this isn't a job). Ofcourse 'the viral' videos make up for that for the most part but I got to justify putting in that much time in something because I don't have much real free time left.
To be clear I am very thankful for every patron on here free or paying and I have been enjoying seeing your 'Bobs' in the chat so go share some more! ππͺ²π’πΏπ±
Only join a paying tier if you can miss the money!!!!! If for some reason at all you need a refund just send me a message and I will do it. I don't know how far back I can go but it should be possible.
Also don't join from the apple app! Apple increases the prices of the tiers with 30% for some kind of apple fee nothing of that goes to me!
To be transparent I'm currently making 360 euro / months here on patreon so that is about 180 euro / month after taxes (yeah the Belgian government are thiefs). That is a lot of money so thank you so much! I use it to buy food for all the Bobs, more Bobs, terrariums, heating the Bobs,... so your basically paying Bob and not me : -).
Sorry for the long post I hope it didn't come of as greedy. I never expected to have even one patron when I started this but to have so many people support me realy keeps me going.

Indeed I have to find them very quick to do it because insects harden very fast making it impossible to pin them. I'll try it next time I find a dead Bob. I had a darkling beetle but it was half eaten by other Bobs before I found it π

Any special bobs that pass over the rainbow bridge (no bob lives forever) could be pinned and sold to members. I'd happily bid on getting an immortalised bob from my favourite YouTube channel, especially if it's one like the random darkling beetle or a queen. Getting the dead bob out before they become bob food might be hard though
