They are more limited by food than space but I am planning to expend them more. For the lasius colony (in the cube) I'm thinking about giving them a more natural terrarium so they can just do their thing. The colony in this video is going into hibernation soon so they won't grow much for a few months but after that they should explode again

How excting. It'll be so interesting to look back in another year how much more the colony will have grown. Are ant colonies like fish where they won't grow larger than their enclosure? Do you have plans to continuously expand their habitat?

They cleaning each other. Also, hot water helps with the tubes, but I’m sure as a biologist… you already know that.
