I think the claim that Ireland is or was far more corrupt than Ukraine is a very odd one, and one that either needs to be dropped or backed up with a source. If you want my opinion, I would say that the entire point of “corruption isn’t why people don’t want Ukraine as part of the EU” needs to be dropped, as I (someone from Macedonia) feel like that it a legitimate concern that exists in addition to economic concerns. Greece is a perfect example, and if you just look at the disaster of their EU membership it makes it pretty clear why people and politicians are wary of adding new, corrupt, Eastern European members, as it’s far harder to remove EU members than to add them. The point you’re making doesn’t rely on corruption not being a factor, and in fact might be strengthened by it, since giving a corrupt country a lot of political and economic leverage is scary. Trying to discredit arguments of Ukrainian corruption only serves to make the rest of the script weaker by acting as a claim that is both unsourced and (at least upon first blush) opposed to reality. Otherwise I really like the script and think it raises some fascinating points, excellent work per usual.

Have you considered going out and interviewing local farmers for their opinions and resources? That may help you with research and sourcing. See what the farmer's lobby says in your country
