An Apology
First off, I'm truly sorry for leaving you in the dark for as long as I have. That was not my intention. After announcing my break, I felt an overwhelming sigh of relief, and I didn't even realize how much time was passing. I was enjoying my time off, doing whatever I wanted, behind the guise of "being on a break".
However, that's not right when I have people supporting me here on Patreon. You guys have stuck with me through months of nothing, and while I appreciate that, I also feel rather guilty about it. If you want a refund for the past month, just let me know - I will be more than happy to at least offer you that.
Again, I apologize for the lack of effort on my end, and I'll try to get back on track with making regular posts and delivering real content.
What's Next
I'm starting to feel more like myself again, but I have a lot going on in my personal life, between my day job and my health. So, I hope to start working on Sims stuff again sometime soon, but as it stands, life is getting in the way. Regardless, here's a list of my plans (nothing is guaranteed, and the order is arbitrary):
General / Administrative
- Overhaul my website (visual refresh, retire old STBL tool, complete index of my mods and modding tools, and a whole bunch of technical changes)
- Improve organization of my mods (this has no impact on you guys, it's just something I have to do to help ensure I don't have this level of burnout again)
- Upload all of my mods on Curse Forge (finally)
Modding Tools
- Finish the online batch fix tool in preparation for the infant update.
- Update the Sims 4 Toolkit website (improve readability/search)
- Create @s4tk/tdesc (for better interfacing with the TDESCs, and to lay the groundwork for packages that can generate and validate tuning and SimData)
- Create a VS Code extension for S4TK (to build mods with minimal setup)
Mods
- Confirm all mods are clear for the last few patches
- Update Bad Translations for the latest strings
- Address known bugs in Show Sim Info
- Some gameplay updates to Language Barriers
- Finally pick up Simway once again
TL;DR
I'm still not 100% back, but I'm working on getting there. I have some Sims-related plans for the immediate future, but no guarantee on a timeline for them.
