Zac Grace

That was a beautiful way to tie up the conflicting daos though. A lesson in marital conflict resolution, with poisonous snakes, electric shocks and the cold treatment aplenty. The metaphors are strong with this one.

Zac Grace

So his enlightenment was to turned his dao into The Dao of Flirting

Dicey

Wow, this chapter never stopped. Such an amazing fight.

Logan Teague

That was great. LOVED the 'I want you' bits. I hope we get to see how the Divine Frozen Palace fairies took it, some of them would've loved it

Nathan V

The longest chapter, sure, but a brilliant one as well. That was sooo worth the build up.

Cynical Pasta

That was more amazing than I could ever possibly imagine, you did incredibly well, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful work

Dovhat

Excellent, eeeexcelllent!

Logrus

Epic. A wonderful culmination of Jin's character and this arc. Can't wait to see how this all plays out!

DraconianGreed

I love that the most husbandly thing he can do might paint him further as a villain. As a legend he’s probably gonna come off like Hades.

crusaderstar

Excellent finale, excited for next chap!

crusaderstar

Yeah that feels like Emperor Xiang being like fuck it, you said you'd handle things, good luck kid.

mibrainisdead

This chapter was amazing. Love the insight Liu Jin got.

Luke Charles

Finally!!! Líu Jin admits he is a bad husband. Admits his đạo is so fucking pretentious it makes him an edge lord and does the obvious to fix it. And the couple properly makes up. Now all he needs to do is kidnap xiao Shuang.

GloryHound

Ok first despite what you think, a chapter is never long enough, so you can def have included it. Second love the yang tree is back!

MasterofNova

I think it's moreso along the lines of him losing his autonomy due to their desire to protection. He'd be treated in pretty much the same way as Xiao Shuang, respected and greatly prized but always kept under the eyes of the Fairies or boundary of the sect. This would mean that he'd no longer be directly able to rule his empire or even probably be with Lu Mei, which you know, matters a great deal to the guy. Also while I get the connection your trying to make between the situations, Liu Jin is also a very fundamentally different person than he was back then. We don't know what sort of decisions he'd have made if his Dao was as developed as it is and his overarching goals now does not specifically require the aid of one of the Great Sects like freeing his nation from the Heavenly Generals did. Too much is different now for him to use the same tactics, moves he only made because he felt forced to in order to achieve his goals.

Kanyau

Liu Jin must have some of his own artifact(s). Right... Right?

Clyde Spero

Such an amazing chapter. Thank you for the update.

LUXRUS

A dao is the path and the culmination of the path; “first there was the one, then the two, then the three, then all things” from Dao De Jing. She is grasping a corner of the concept of coldness in her own way, an interpretation which is correct because it is part of the whole

Gardor

Did he not join the Eternal Flame Clan to achieve his goals? Why doesnt he think he can use the Divine Frozen Palace in the same way? I mean, sure, all the specifics are different, but its sort of weird his "lose condition" is "becoming a kept husband at one of the greatest sects in the country, surrounded by cultivation resources, safety and information. They'd also support his kingdom.".

Green0Photon

Despite the innuendos, I was kind of tearing up at finally having this culmination of their relationship and Liu Jin's Dao

Thomas

Great chapter!

Larynx Punchworthy

Huh, Meng Yue was right. Them meeting in the finals IS romantic.

Woalol

Wow I love her Dao. It's so lonely yet heartwarming. I like that he overcame a wall by going through it the cultivators way. You must defy fate and impose your will against the heavens.

Tortugato

What kind of madness must be inside Matt’s brain that he’s able to link Coldness and Hearth in a sensible way. She’s basically weaponizing the concept of days off due to inclement weather. I’m not 100% happy with it because I feel like it’s too indirect a connection; but overall I still like it. I just hope we get more development on it.

ArranWuyin

Also ... why the hell are barriers dropping so damn fast lol

GreenB

This is so unbelievably good.

eloi Boco

The cliffhanger of doom . This is the perfect moment for eldest xia to make an entrance with his new emperor rank lol

BelligerentGnu

At last, the hollow dao makes sense. Shuang is still dense, bu5 she'll get there.

Awesome!

Robert Davidson

Oh yeah. The fallout from this scene will be great as we get to see various reactions. Lu Mei/Song Daiyu/Su Daji especially, but also his whole EFC clique. (I wonder how Pan Qiu's Dao of Cowardice will react to Jin's . . . )

foo-jin

Liu Jin used 'Shameless Flirt'! It was very effective!

Nyroe

Run from it, dread it, the Harem arrives all the same.

Robert Davidson

Someone get that phone, because I CALLED IT! He had to learn how to make his Dao more than just condemning the unworthy - he can look at things that are good and right, like Shuang's desire to protect, and accept those, without taking on the parts that don't fit. > "That’s fine. I was not expecting you to. I will prove it with my actions,” Liu Jin says. “After this, I will take you.” Phrasing, my dude. It's not nice to make your wife need new undergarments while in the tournament ring. > I wanted to include more scenes of people like Lu Mei and Song Daiyu watching the fight, but the chapter was already too long as it was.  I very much hope those perspectives are coming, especially Daiyu's. The inside of her head must be a *very* interesting place as she parses that conversation.

Kind

I loved that this was a long chapter. Was able to enjoy their fight, conversation and realizations in a single go.

Peak

Guy

I think this is worth asking: How exactly was Liu Jin able to close the gap? As far as I can tell it was a combination of experience and Dao mismatch. Is that right?

Guy

Awesome chapter. You always make us want for more. It's quite a dastardly skill.

TabascoInferno

A foregone conclusion, but the route to it was very fun and well put together.
