Adam Blakeslee

Liu Jin was once attacked by a Master Necromancer. After a fierce battle the Master Necromancer was torn apart by Zombies.

Derek Walker

Liu Jin is obviously not dead, but I find it interesting his cousin missed a very interesting clue: the dog is still alive. Shouldn’t it need Jins Qi to still function. Like if the Fleshcrafter died his creations go with him? Same thing should apply to Jin

John Battista

I liked the wind up. It's annoying given the break. But if that didn't exist this perspective shifting adds drama. Honestly these other perspectives would feel weak if we resolved Jin's arc first

Ryan

I liked it too. I don't think there is anything wrong with the pacing either. The story is better for chapters like these, but reading them weekly can be rough.

Pete

I liked the chapter. Normally I try to avoid such empty comments but feel the negative voices could use a contrast.

Triple ellipsis. Means Something. If only I could recall what!

Catherine

Thank you for the chapter :) I enjoyed it. I very much want to see what happens to Liu Jin and the storm dragon empire next but I liked seeing what happened to the other characters. Also receiving confirmation of what the purple light was

burning_the_paper

Grandpa Dragon is clearly after something. My guess is he wanted Liu Jin pushed into a corner where he could be more easily pushed into doing something the Dragon wants.

Valerian

Nice to see the current cultivation levels for the companions.

Ahppy

I agree. But that’s the problem with reading web stories. Sometimes chapters are meant to set the stage. It would be a worse story if there was no tension.

Gardor

Oof people are not happy with the pacing of this one, apparently. I'm more concerned with the storm dragon rules I've apparently forgotten, he'll let his descendants get hurt in his spatial realm?

Derek Walker

Not sure why the main cliff couldn’t be resolved first before going to these others, unrelated POVs. If they were all converging to Jin, maybe, but they aren’t, and it just seems to stretch out the suspense for no reason.

MasterofNova

Moreso leaning towards an ensemble cast rather than just the Liu Jin story. Personally I think from a writing POV it was kinda inevitable considering the scale of the story. That's what happens when u have a fleshed out world that produces complex characters.

AZ

This chapter is a bit of a let down to be honest. These povs are turning the mc into a side character.

Luciaron

happy new year to our boy LJ!

Blahful

Chapter too short, getting a little annoying with the lack of progression/pace/update rate.

Moonkiller24

This feels less like a chapter and more like a tease.

RiveryWind

A full year of liu jin ahead, i cannot wait

Sam

I love the emotions in the mini-character list this time around. Sam: a reader. Entertained.
