Dao of Retribution for Liu Jin? I believe someone with a Dao of Justice would feel an affinity for someone with a Dao of Retribution.

Robert Davidson

This chapter only intensifies my belief that he's not going to rush through the Renegade realm. “Do not run from yourself,” is the opposite of how many cultivators treat that.

And at the same time make complete sense :)

The best prediction I can make for his dao is that it's going to surprise us

So... we getting an extra chapter this week? Just finished and already feel the withdrawals. Great chapter, feeling the possibility of the Dao of Order or Rule. With the focus being a rejection of order/rule that he does not agree with. That is a pretty dangerous Dao considering his Dao will go against what he deems wrong with the world that the strong utilize.

I think his Dao will be something akin to "Empathy". We see Liu Jin often acting in protection of the disenfranchised. Most other cultivators don't care about the suffering of others as long as they themselves are not effected. Liu Jin is the opposite. He will care on behalf of other people and involve himself if he feels other people are being abused or are suffering. This will be what makes his Dao so dangerous because it will make Liu Jin go against a lot of powerful cultivators who go around abusing their power. To phrase it differently, Liu Jin will go around picking fights with people who would just ignore Liu Jin if he left them alone in turn. This interpretation would also explain why Bai Wen feels kinship with her Dao of Justice which is not the same but similarly wants to stand against the abuse of power.

In. Ter. Est. Ing. So now we have an idea how Dao works and even how Renegade realm works. We also see Jin's Dao develop. I'm betting it's something like Preservation or Detoxificiation, something in line with Jin's love of healing but also representing Jin's more aggressive actions.

Derek Walker

So it’s interesting Bai Wen feels some connection with her Dao and the one Jin is developing. Somehow I suspect that’s a surface reading. Elder Xun told Jin his Dao would get about the same amount of respect as Xun Huwen’s, which is to say it will be hated. If I had to guess Jins Dao, would be something like rejection. He rejects the cruelty of the world or something like that. This also means rejecting the Daos and ways of almost all cultivators, which is why elder Xun states it will be hated.

Yeah, another bomb of a chapter! I can't get used to how well every single puzzle piece fits into the story and world-building on an almost emotional level. Obviously, Murong Bang has realised Liu Jin's heritage by now. No one has brought it up, but he definitely hinted at the game he is envisioning, when he mentioned missing a Hundred-Man Commander. To turn the dynamic the general had with the black dragon on its head and command his son in battle.

Liu Jin got some stones.

I love how the concept of dao is handled in this world. Thank you for yet another awesome chapter!
