Bruh - I find it real funny that MC is thinking so hard. Even if you are raised by Mother Teresa, in a dog eat dog world you will loose those values once you leave the nest. Here the MC is thinking so hard not to do collateral kills or kill an opponent. When the fight starts, all the people who value their life flee. If any of them still stayed that is their own stupidity and it is not big deal if they die. Oh man, I hope it doesn’t turn out in another cheesy cultivation novel where MC acts like a saint and leaves his enemies alive so that they come twice stronger in their next bout.

One thing I liked about this chapter is how the whole situation with Han mirrors the Murong Bang's arena fight; where he tries to demonstrate to Liu that you can't always split your efforts and still win. If this assignment was somewhat intentional by Bang to drive that lesson home; that's really cool because it shows Murong actually has a surprising level of intelligence and foresight. That he's not just a brute. He is the original big bad rival to Liu Jin but I am actually kind of rooting for their tensions to thaw a bit after reading this arc. It's like Bang is trying to help Jin grow out of lingering respect for his dad. The whole reaction when Jin goes back to report this whole mess will be interesting to watch. He just better have the lightning ready by then.

Wrong novel, pal

Hangwind

Also, Motoko isn't doing much to change my perception of her as Steve Irwin for borgs.

Luciaron

Hes young, like 15-17 I think

Misery

I concur, something about this chapter feels off compared to previous. The imagry was great, but Liu Jin's actions don't make alot of sense. Why leave all soldiers outside, where's his guards? Why engage in a battle that's killing civilians now when he's avoided it in past? Ect

Any one know what age Jin is? Thanks

I am a bigger fan of every single episode of this story. But for this chapter, that is not the case. It is so typically arrogant, inconsiderate, haphazard, and worst of all, illogical as you usually only see in Chinese novellas. The author has proven in too many chapters that he can always find clever and creative solutions in hopeless situations. In this chapter, there are too many possible alternatives that could solve the problem with less or no collateral damage. It is currently incomprehensible why his justice-loving big sister should not fight, or his servant. The trick with the needle and his failure are well written, but he could have used it on the first strike and failed. Because it is both illogical that he tries it later, and that his opponent can be hit so easily at the most transparent moment. This chapter is too simple, when it could go into depth with these characters. The author should consider rewriting these chapters. Thank you for this story.

Yeah, none of the bad guys actually thought things through - Liu Jin is not the vindictive kind, but I imagine he's not going to be in a forgiving mood when the dust settles. He's remind the Lei Clan what it means to be the Black Dragon's son.

Silverias

Yes. If Liu Jin wins, he gets to decide you were meaningless. That is the world that you have dug into like a tick, Han.

Gamer Doyle

“I believe the Lei Clan will have twenty fewer members should they try anything. Mei is nowhere near as merciful or forgiving as I.” That and her handmaiden is at peak Heaven. City Lord Lei: "No matter what happens I win" Lei Kong: "Not happening. My Lord gave me permission to deal with you myself."

Valerian

Any fight that starts with the two combatants sitting across from one another in a public place is a win for me. It being in a Casino at a Roulette table is *French kiss*.

Wyv

Have to say this chapter had an amazing opening line in terms of build up to the fight. And in general. Immediately sets the mood.

Derek Walker

This is a good point, and I think this may cause his Dao to further solidify here depending on how the fight goes.

Desidia

Thank you for the chapter!

MasterofNova

Although I agree with Jin on principle, Han is lowkey right. And I love it. Only person who can decide if their life has meaning is themselves but our boy has the mentality of an emperor and his strong morals make us agree with him even when he has his increasingly frequent moments of arrogance.

Derek Walker

Purple lightening incoming? This is the time for it

AZ

Well, on the bright side, we spend less time than normal on this cliff.
