I appreciate that Liu Jin is beginning to have a more complete set of relationships. The way his self-isolation is ending (even if largely triggered by circumstance) brings back in something that has been missing since the fall of Eastern Port City. (And, might I add, having female friends who are not waving 'harem bait' signs is refreshing.)

Sam

I like that Yet too. It makes tingles go down my spine.

Sam

It depends on how much time has actually passed since he joined the Clan. I think he was 15 when he joined the clan. I'm fairly sure at least one year has passed, but not sure if two or three total.

Guy

I like that ending of Liu Jin's description 'Yet'. Also, have a nice trip!

Belisaurius

"Of course I do" That's a lot of self awareness of someone who is...16?18? How old is Liu Jin here anyway?

That's an unfair statement to make. I think that most cultivators have a conscience, or at least lines they will not cross and people they care about. Murong Bang is the closest we have to a stereotypical evil cultivator that kills for the sake of it, and he's considered an oddity even among his peers.

I don't think the supplies are not arriving because Feng Zhi is being moody - but because something big has happened that has both the Eternal Flame Clan contingent and their Storm Dragon Empire allies preoccupied to the point they can't divert resources over to Liu Jin and those under his command. Could very well be that Murong Bang has joined the fray with the rest of his army to nip the alliance in the bud.

Karl

Now we've had this nice scene with Ni Cai so if you kill him off next time it will be more impactful

Blahful

No Bad! Mat. No killing Ni Cai. He seems to be the only other cultivator with a conscience after Liu Jin and Feng Zhi

lenkite

Probably should send Yi Jiao on Soaring Feather and ask her to talk to Feng Zhi and arrange supplies.

This and Ni Cai serves as a spokesperson for Liu Jin's "faction" among the disciples of the expedition. Losing him would either loose that insight for us readers or he would need to be replaced with another disciple.

I think you made the right choice with Cai. Jin's got enough guilt on his shoulders me-thinks; in fact he reminds me of this interview or something I saw once with once of those search-and-rescue helicopter crews The reporter asks one of the men "how many people have you saved in your lifetime" And the guy says "I don't keep track honestly. But I can remember each and every single one I failed."
