Lol Bei Hong. Get started on finding a waifu for yourself. Heck there's Fan BingBing right there. Hmm. Does Fan meet Hong's list? She's pretty but not too pretty check. We're not sure about her family but it was implied to be a subordinate sect to the EFC, so maybe slightly complicated. And no idea what Hong considers a good personality, but Fan is kinda deadpan which I don't see working that well with him. 2/3 isn't the worst, but it's probably not too be. Honestly I'm not sure whether it'll be funnier if Hong finds a girl that meets all his requirements, or one that breaks all of them that he falls hard for. Probably the second one.

I really don't think it's possible to lie to an Emperor even by omission unless they let you. "And then I presented Patriarch Feng my stone," he said as the memories of yelling at the Divine cultivator surfaced in his mind. Elder Xue raised an eyebrow and gave him an utterly unimpressed look. "You are keeping something from me." And then Jin will say everything. Besides, I like it better this way. There's some ambiguity as to whether Xue is manipulating him or Jin is coming to trust her.

Lightseid

Yeah, it's kind of weird, but now that you said it, it feels like Xue is the closest to a maternal figure that Liu Jin has ever had.

GloryHound

I feel Xue starting to have motherly feelings for him. Will she ever acknowledge it openly? Will Jin acknowledge them?

Adam Blakeslee

Well that's one way to heal the soul.

Loved this chapter - Elder Xue fussing over Jin, Hong's "We Made It" party. It's nice to unwind after the action filled chapters!

Catherine

Or maybe just a conversation between patriarch and his sons about the events that have unfolded

Guy

You also made it very clear that while Jin grew a lot. It wasn't high quality growth, which helps implicitly explain why he doesn't just go as fast as possible in his cultivation.

Guy

This chapter is definitely more of a transitory one, but it does help explain exactly what happened (thanks to Elder Xue's commentary) which is nice to know.

Blahful

"That makes you wise,” she says. “Where was that wisdom when you dared to raise your voice at Patriarch Feng?” He really should have omitted that part. Is this you referring to the fact that it's much harder to lie to Xue? Jin has told her more than necessary in the past and she had also done something to force that. You've hinted on her Dao before...

Catherine

Thank you for the chapter. I enjoyed this one; seeing how Jin could have damaged himself and seeing the disciples relax. A good bit of light heartedness after the tension of the Plains. :) I think I would like to see an interlude meeting between the elders & patriarch dealing with the fallout of everything: Gui being the new patriarch, lu Mei being Shangs daughter, the death fashioning scripture etc

Yoav

Did jin tell xue everything including the fact that gui wins the contest? And from 1-10 how proud/angry she is at how jin conducted himself at the dead plains?

Yoav

This is a good and cute chapter

almostNEET

Oh right. Lu Mei did meet her Gramps last chapter. That completely slipped my mind. Haha.
