David Wei

Rereading and noticed that in chapter 68 " Liu Jianguo throws his head back and laughs. “Let me tell you about the time Master and I traveled to the Dead Plains.” I have a feeling this is going to be relevant.

Mat Haz

I liked that post. You came very close to a couple of things.

David Wei

Well it's them + one of the core disciples. Probably the armory guy who's been showing up allot. Because against a heaven realm combatant only another heaven or high Earth is enough.

Gavriel

Grandpa basically based everything on Liu Jin, and Lu Mei; No way he doesn't realize who's going to end up his grandsons guardian: especially considering his "dear old friend" who has been keeping an eye on Liu Jin (finally; he probably has plans to protect them 😂)

Guy Incognito

Interesting that there's no stipulation of "first" to bringing back the temple stones. So either the Patriarch is supremely confident that only one group will succeed, the nature of the challenge means that only one stone can be taken or the Patriarch is going to pull a wildcard and is willing to make both sons co-Patriarchs if need be and two stones are brought back. And confirmation that Shang was actually knowingly trying to kill his nephew is nice.

Randall Klatt

Indeed. Given Feng Gui's behavior, I would think that he cares more for keeping his family alive than he cares about becoming the Patriarch.

Randall Klatt

If I were Feng Gui, I'd just pack up and leave. Take Feng Hao and family with me. Renounce all claims. Leave the sect in Feng Shang's incompetent hands. The Patriarch could go fuck himself, poorly.

Maniac000

Lots of face slapping!

David Wei

Huh. We're going to the dead plains already. That makes my future arc prediction on SB wrong just a few days after I made it. Well I guess we can revisit the plains later to get the Sun Scrolls, assuming Lui Jin doesn't just stumble upon them like protagonists like to do.

GregTOF

You're forgeting Lu Mei ... Now that the patriarch is out there is a high possibility of her being discovered ... And of patriarch Feng Zhang discovering Liu jin's secret ... But apparently it won't be a problem since Liu Jin has red hair and red eyes😂

Robert Mullins

The fact that he says "good friend's grandson" instead of his name makes me wonder if that level of ambiguity is just the way he talks or an intentional misdirection/red herring.

Anton Lupanov

Assuming that: 1) Patriarch will act hands-off regarding Feng Hao 2) You can't effectively protect someone weak from your equal Then we have a very interesting situation on our hands: If Feng Shang kills his nephew before the contest, then the contest will be equal, but his brother will hate him forever. If Feng Shang decides against it, then the ball in Feng Gui's court. If Feng Hao is alive at the beginning of the contest, then Feng Gui can orchestrate his death and become the patriarch, but his relationship with both his wife and his brother will be ruined (wife is obvious, brother because his father will kill Feng Zhuo). If he decides against it, then they will have an equal contest. Possible complications even if they decide to cooperate instead of being kinslayers: -Xun Huwen is insane and can kill Feng Hao to provoke his family. -Feng Gui's disciples deciding that Feng Gui "obviously" wants them to kill his son to become a Patriarch and trying to do that for him.

darren tay

I did not expect Feng Gui to be so Family-Oriented. (brother excluded i guess or at least lower on the totem pole than his own kids)

Wyv

Ah, knew poor Liu Jin was going to be forced into having a more direct role in this succession eventually. Expected a tournament of sorts, but I like this better
