Giovanni was a criminal boss, a bad guy as some might say. And, no matter what he truly was, he was an ex-Elite Four member, current Gym Leader, and former war veteran. He'd seen more than his fair share of battles, and trainers who go through as many battles as him will, unavoidably, develop certain habits that would aid them in battle.
Heightened reflexes, the ability to make split-second decisions on the fly, and how to command a dozen pokemon at once. These are simply skills that were needed for his survival, so he took them and sharpened them like a blade to a fine edge.
So, he'd long since learned to trust his instincts. And, sitting in his office, he could practically feel the shift in the air. His senses were blaring at him that something was wrong, that he needed to get ready for a fight, or just get away from where he was.
He liked to think of himself as a rather sharp-witted individual, you'd have to be if your life was as dangerous as his had been, and knew that his gut was rarely wrong. So, in response to this, he released two of his smaller pokemon. Sandslash and Marowak.
They stood by both his left and right sides, acting like his guardians as he continued to stifle through some annoying paperwork, and after a while he began to feel like a fool for calling them out for no reason. Nothing was coming for him, and thus he was merely making a fool of himself for even calling them out. However, just a glance at two of his friends was enough to make him cast those thoughts aside.
He rarely spent any time alone with his pokemon anymore. Before, and even during, the Indigo war his pokemon were like his best friends. He trusted them with his life, and they trusted him with theirs. But, in more recent years, he'd grown cold and distant from them. It wasn't as though he didn't see them as his friends, but he just hardly had any free time at all to enjoy himself.
He'd put all of his work into building up Team Rocket enough to overthrow their Johtonian oppressors one day soon, maybe not tomorrow but soon, and he just didn't have time for them personally. It was a shame, but it couldn't be helped.
His pokemon were diligent and powerful though. Perhaps they weren't as strong as they were in their primes, but they weren't exactly elders either. Besides, pokemon physiology varied from species to species, some don't even get weaker as they get older. They were all fit and healthy, though with the amount of violent battles they'd been caught in he didn't expect they wouldn't be slowed down somewhat.
Giovanni eyed the scars and signs of ware on the skin of his two pokemon. It takes a lot to scar a pokemon, even when Asher's Rhydon put a hole in that Dragonite he didn't expect the thing to have any permanent damage. His sharp eyes knew how to spot those things, and that Megahorn wouldn't have damaged any internal organs.
Yet, his Sandslash and Marowak both had several visible scars littering their bodies as signs of war. Some were more noticeable than others, but they were all there. And, he never forgot a single one.
Giovanni sighed, getting lost in his thoughts as the paperwork was forgotten. He wondered how he could have felt so guilty for neglecting his own pokemon considering exactly what Team Rocket did. He hardly had the right to ponder such things as morality.
"Marooow!" His pokemon suddenly let out a shout of warning, raising his club to the door and waving it in that direction.
The sudden move surprised Giovanni, but he'd known his pokemon for years, and he could immediately pick up on what Marowak was trying to tell him.
Something was coming. And, whatever it was, they weren't friendly.
Without hesitation, he pulled out a third pokeball from his suit's pocket. He had to leave.

Surge, on the outside, looked like someone who had it all together. He was nearly forty and still had his looks going for him, only in the last few years had he begun to show signs of old age. He had a beautiful wife and daughter, and he was a successful Gym Leader that didn't plan on resigning anytime soon.
Everything in his life was perfect. Right?
Wrong. He was a flawed man, that much he could easily admit. Even though the war did technically end nearly a decade ago, sometimes he felt like he never left. Like he was still out there, battling with his life on the line.
Marie did her best, but even she couldn't truly heal him. He still had nightmares at times, and he still saw the faces of both the men he'd killed and the men who died under his watch.
That never stopped him from trying though. He still did his best for his daughter, he still tried to fulfil his duties as a Gym Leader, and he still went to therapy every single week without fail.
He wanted to put the past in the past. But, he had a job to do, and when you had to use3 excessive force. Something he was used to.
Afterall, in the war he was known as 'Thunderbolt Surge' for a reason.
It was night-time in Vermillion City, the winter air was cool, however Lt Surge didn't care for something as minor as the weather. If anything, he was glad that nobody would be around at night to see what he was about to do.
Standing outside a regular looking apartment building Surge couldn't help but sneer at the sight. The place appeared completely normal on the outside, if he wasn't told it was Team Rocket's base then he wouldn't have given it a second glance.
Well, what did he expect.
A few trainers were behind him, the rest were scattered around and would follow suit. But, with him there they wouldn't need all the other guys.
He quickly released Electabuzz from his pokeball and addressed the other trainers he'd be leading.
"Alright, listen up boys! We'll be storming the place in just a minute, follow my lead and stick together! There will most likely be hostiles in there, engage them if need be, however the most dangerous man they have in there will be Proton. If you do encounter him the don't engage. He is meant to be on the same level as a Gym Leader, I'm the one who's best suited to handle him. Understood?!"
The nods he got from them were enough to tell him that they weren't used to taking orders. He would complain about their lack of discipline if he didn't have a have a job to do, but instead he just turned his back and waited for the signal.
The radio in his pocket beeped." Start the operation!"
Immediately after hearing those words, Surge was on the move. He made a B-line straight for the building they were housed in, and Electabuzz followed right behind him.
The door was locked when Surge tried to jam it open, but that hardly mattered. His partner didn't even need his order.
Electabuzz cocked his arm back, their fist crackling with electricity, and in a single move they punched the door off it's hinges.
The sturdy steel loosed enough for Surge to just push it back, and when he gazed into the building what he saw was a dark corridor that lead inwards.
"Let's go!" He yelled to his partner as he jumped right on in, throwing another pokeball from inside his jacket as he did. In a flash of white light, his Ampharos was unleashed into the midst of the enemy's territory. Most of their species were friendly and harmless in nature, but his just looked eternally pissed off with a massive scar riding along their belly from when a particularly powerful Scizor nearly cleaved them in two.
His Ampharos' tail was bright enough to light up the room just with it's presence. And through that light Surge was able to make out a few figures with their pokemon in tow. They also happened to be wearing a familiar black uniform.
Team Rocket. Now he knew that the information they got was accurate.
"Charge Beam." His order wasn't rushed, if anything it was as cold and to the point as could be.
Both his electric-types put themselves between him and the scum who layed before them. Sparks flew off their bodies, and in just a split second two condensed beams of electricity were fired by his partners. They were strong enough that they could have been mistaken for Hyper Beams. If Hyper Beam was an electric-type attack of course.
A Grimer, a Gloom, a Magnemite and a Golbat once stood in their way. However, a single unified attack proved to be too much for them to handle.
The crackling yellow beam of electricity fried them to a crisp, and they were all left charred messes on the ground after the assault. Just like the olden days when beating opponents into the ground was a daily occurrence to him.
Seeing this, the group of grunts panicked." Shit! Quick, throw more pokemon at the,-"
"Thunder Wave." Yet another move his pokemon had long since mastered.
Sparks rapidly threw themselves off both Ampharos' and Electabuzz's skin, and after hardly an instant, they discharge the electricity in the form of yellow spirals poised straight for the Rocket grunts.
Surge knew his pokemon were holding back. A pokemon on his team's level using a full powered Thunder Wave could easily be fatal to most people, so his partners held back a lot.
However, they didn't hold back enough not to reduce their enemies to a pile of twitching messes on the ground. Foam leaking out of their teeth, and every hair on their body standing up.
He was used to the sight. Paralysis was a useful thing to have in war, both for lethal and non-lethal takedowns, so he'd long since lost his disturbance for the sight of what it did to people.
He didn't mind much whether they lived or died, but they needed to capture some of the Rockets alive for questioning.
Surge was in war and, as cold-hearted as it might sound, if he could justify their deaths then he was able to kill a person. He didn't like it, it was more like... he'd gotten used to it.
"Keep on moving, there's still more of them!" His words weren't to warn his partners, but rather to tell them to get a move on. What they really wanted to do was get to Proton before he escaped. Trainers of his calibre were not easy to replace, with him dead Team Rocket would take a massive blow.
Surge could only hope that the other Gym Leader's were going to follow his lead and do their jobs right.

Saffron City was Kanto's biggest City. Some would even call it the heart of Kanto, known not only for it's thriving economy, but also for being home to the Silph company's corporate headquarters. The main producer of many amazing technologies that aid trainer's of all kinds.
Henry Natsume had been the Gym Leader of Saffron for years before his daughter claimed his position from him, and was only allowed his title back because she decided to go on a journey with a boy her age.
His relationship with his daughter was one of his deepest regrets. Sabrina hardly would be right to hate him for what he did, the way he abandoned her. She didn't even think of him as family, and she probably never would.
Not like she needed him anyway.
Henry's pride was wounded to admit it, but his daughter had long since surpassed him. Both as a trainer and as a psychic. She was bending spoons with her thoughts at not even five years old. He couldn't have done that before he was a teenager. She was the most talented psychic in their family's history, that much he could confidently say.
Even as a person she was probably better than him.
Henry abandoned Sabrina because, like most other trainers in the times of war, he was called to action to fight for his home against Johto. He had to leave his daughter by herself. His daughter who was only just discovering her psychic powers, and who he knew was very confused at those times.
At the time he couldn't do anything else, but that didn't ease his guilt one bit. Because of his actions his daughter grew to resent him, and when her powers always grew out of control whenever he tried to go near her, so in the end he just decided to leave her to her own devices. To leave her in the home she was staying in before he came.
He was still a powerful trainer, yet years later when challenged by his daughter he couldn't help but be thrown off his game. She was obviously cheating against him, but that wasn't what did him in. A psychic and a psychic-type pokemon were one in mind when they battled. So, when he was thrown off his game so were his pokemon.
He lost his position that day. Which was fine. Ever since he came back from the war his mental health wasn't as solid as it used to be, yet another reason why he made the choice not to reunite with his daughter. So, from that day onward, being relieved from his duties as a Gym Leader, he went to therapy.
He had a lot of regrets, but him agreeing to hand the Gym back over to his daughter wasn't one of them. She was strong, she was mature, and she was smart. She was perfect for the role.
So, he will complete his final job as a Gym Leader to the best of his abilities.
'Use Hypnosis.'
Obeying the mental command, his Alakazam, Jynx, and Hypno hummed as they glowed pink. Waves of psionic energy were released that caught everthing they touched in a trance. Then every single trainer and pokemon in their paths promptly dropped to the ground, out like lights.
"Apprehend them! I'm going ahead!" He yelled to the trainers and police officers behind him as he and his three pokemon teleported ahead, making sure to cover as much ground as he could so that he could find his target.
As a a psychic-type Gym Leader he was the ideal choice to face a poison specialist. So, he was given the task of defeating Petrel.
Locating him should have been simple, due to the sensory abilities of psychics. But, something was dulling his psychic senses. And, whatever was doing it, was being heavily guarded.
The next wave of pokemon which came his way only confirmed his suspicions. They easily fell to his partners, but constantly throwing themselves at him was an effective way to slow him down.
He didn't even glance at the beaten pokemon below his feet, hopping over their beaten forms as he made haste to reach whatever it was that hindered his abilities.
Finally reaching the end of the massive flight of stairs, Henry let out a controlled breath as his abilities began to waver. His mind beginning to dull as his powers shut down.
The dark room in front of him was dimply lit, only an ominous orange light shining through from an unknown source. Though, as Henry began to tread with caution through the mysterious room, he was hit with an abrupt sense of alarm and discomfort the moment he layed eyes on the rooms only light source.
Within an oversized glass pod there was, hovering in place, an orange crystal. The object itself seemed to ooze with a dark energy that oppressed his powers, and just staring at the object unnerved. It was jagged, unevenly shaped, and not at all smooth looking.
Henry was caught in a trace until he heard a voice coming from within the shadows.
"Gorgeous looking isn't it?"
Without warning a pulsing stream of miasma was unleashed, intending to kill Henry right then and there. And, if his Alakazam didn't block the attack with Light Screen, then he likely would have met his demise.
The pink barrier held strong against the assault, and after a second the attack relented. Alakazam then took it upon himself to float in front of Henry, intending to defend his trainer from their unknown foe.
Wires were spread throughout the room and, with his attention released from the orange stone's clutches, Henry noticed the rest of the room's contents.
For starters, the pod was hooked up to a huge amount of wires and computers, almost as though it's contents were being studied. Clearly Henry had stumbled into a laboratory of some sort.
"Drapion!" The deep shout of an unfamiliar pokemon guided his attention as they crawled their way out of the shadows. The menacing snap of their three pincers, two acting as hands and another at the tip of their tail, gritted against his teeth and the sound of their four legs digging into the ground was enough to make him flinch.
Whatever pokemon it was, he didn't recognise it. Though, he could tell it was strong.
A grinning purple haired man was standing right next to the intimidating scorpion, and Henry recognised them well.
Petrel spoke smugly." What's wrong? Is the big bad Gym Leader of Saffron scared of little ol' me? Well you should be. Also shoulda waited for your buddies back there to get you some backup."
Henry jumped as the door behind him slammed shut, but wasn't scared overall." More like you trapped yourself in here with me. You should give up and turn yourself in Petrel, if you don't then I'll be forced to-"
"Are you curious about what we've been studying here? You psychics are meant to be wise guys, why don't you ask about that rock up there? It's making your powers act funny ain't it?"
Henry felt his annoyance rise." You can start telling me what that is when you're behind bars being interrogated!"
Petrel didn't seem to care about his answer." Well, since you wanna know so bad, I'll tell you. We found that stone a little while back and turns out that thing is pretty useful. Whenever a pokemon comes near it then get a power boost for a little while, but they also become emotionless fighting machines. We call them 'shadow pokemon'. Ain't that handy? Having an army of strong trainers is great, but an army of strong pokemon that obey orders without question? That's just what we need to conquer Johto."
Every single word that came out of Petrel's mouth just made Henry recoil in disgust at the idea. Glancing at the stone, Henry couldn't help but want to smash it into a thousand pieces.
Pokemon are man's best friend. Even when they battle together, they do it to grow closer and increase the strength of their bonds. To take away a pokemon's emotions and free will is just... sick and disgusting.
Petrel, oblivious to the rage on Henry's face, continued to explain as he stroked his goatee." But, the effects of the rock aren't permanent. A shadow pokemon can only stay that way for maybe a day, after that the effects ware off and they'll return to normal. Which is definitely inconvenient when you want to make an army out of shadow pokemon. So, we've been researching this thing to make our pokemon maintain their shadow forms indefinitely. If we could do something like that then we'd be unstoppable, Team Rocket would-"
Petrel was cut off when Henry released the rest of his team. A Medicham, a Xatu, an Exeggcutor and a Mr Mime emerged in a white light and were ready for battle.
Seeing this, Petrel gave a huff of genuine annoyance before reaching for his belt." Hey, at least let me finish. Spoilsport."
Another round of pokeballs were thrown into the air, and in response to being thrown, they ejected their contents. Six pokemon grunted for battle in front of him as they glared seriously at their opponents.
A Nidoking. A Venusaur. A Beedrill. A Crobat. Finally... a strange skunk pokemon that Henry didn't recognise and another frog pokemon who Henry also couldn't identify.
Henry couldn't use telepathy, so he spoke making sure to regard his enemy coldly." Be ready Petrel, you'll see why I'm the Gym Leader of Saffron. You will pay for your crimes."
Petrel snorted at that." Sure you will. But, being a psychic here won't help you out. Not against me anyway, but I've been raring for a good battle. Try not to disappoint me! Use Sludge Bomb!"

Ice. Even as a child growing up in Cinnabar island, a place home to Kanto's fire-type Gym of all places, Archer couldn't help but be fascinated by the substance.
He'd always dive head-first into the snow whenever he was lucky enough to blessed by the winter. The cold never bothered him. He loved it even.
His father was an ice-type trainer, much like he'd turn out to be, and his personal hero growing up.
But, what truly cemented his love for ice-types was that day. That single encounter that changed his life forever.
He was a tiny little thing back then, at five years old, and yet he could recall that memory with such clarity that it was almost jarring to him.
It was snowing that day. He was outside playing with his friends at a frozen over beach, his older brother included, and all of a sudden the light snow turned into a blizzard so powerful that his hat was blown off.
The other children wanted to go inside, to hide from the cold, but instead his eyes were drawn to a bright blue bird that resided within the harsh frost.
His brother was ushering him to go inside, saying something about frostbite and whatnot. But, in that moment he only had eyes for that mysterious pokemon which revealed itself to him.
For whatever reason, that day he was chosen by Articuno. The way it spread it's wings and screeched outwards, feathers dropping into the sea as, for only an instant, the blizzard cleared to reveal the true majesty of a legendary pokemon.
The way he locked eyes with them, the way they regarded him. Those piercing red eyes which made him shiver like no cold ever could.
Truly, he was blessed that day.
Every year he made it a point to visit the Seafoam islands, the rumoured resting place of Articuno. Yet, he never caught sight of the legendary. It was a disappointment, but not a total waste.
The ice covered island was truly a marvellous display of Articuno's powers. He'd visited that island every single year without fail for years on end, and not a single drop of water had yielded from the ice naturally. It's toughness was truly frightening, and even fire-types had trouble melting the stuff.
But, that wasn't enough for him. He wanted to see Articuno again, he wanted to catch Articuno and proved that he was their chosen one.
Archer wanted to join Team Rocket because he was just fifteen when he joined the war efforts against Johto. He was a prodigy trainer with a talent for ice-types, but ultimately he was inexperienced and young.
He nearly died many times at Johto's hand, in fact, he was mostly alive due to luck.
And Giovanni.
He wanted to join Team Rocket because he wanted to complete his goals of destroying Johto and restoring Kanto.
Things were going beyond smoothly, better than ever in fact. He managed to step foot in Sinnoh, a region hardly mentioned in Kantonian history books, and even made a deal with Team Galactic. They were a pompous bunch of fools, but the benefits they provided were unrefutably, and so they created a supply line for each other.
Of course convincing them wasn't an easy task, but Archer never let Giovanni down before. And months ago they managed to get their first import of new pokemon, and technologies that would aid in their future endeavours.
However, they weren't being given all of that for free. They had to provide Galactic with some sort of compensation for their benefit, and that cost was rather heavy.
In order to gain their favour, Team Rocket would have to provide them with the ultimate pokeball.
A Master Ball. A pokeball that could catch any pokemon at all without fail. A pokeball with a 100% capture rate.
Team Rocket had been working on that project for a while, and in a way they'd already finished the schematics for such a pokeball. But, unfortunately, it was still in the testing stage, and if they couldn't provide Team Galactic with their end of the bargain then they'd cut contacts. Their single link with Sinnoh would be severed.
The Cerulean hideout was actually the place where the Master Ball prototypes were being held, and if they were destroyed (or god forbid taken) then their research would be set back. Not halted, but they couldn't afford to go back any steps when they were on a timer to begin with.
So, when the alarms started blaring madly and trainers were pouring in to apprehend all their members, Archer's first and foremost concern was ensuring that Team Rocket didn't lose those prototypes.
He ignored the panicking grunts and scientists alike as he ran straight for the room where the Master Balls were being studied. They didn't matter to him. Grunts could be replaced, such a vital miracle of technology couldn't; at least not efficiently.
"Freeze them all with Blizzard!"
But, the number of trainers in his way were proving themselves to be more than a little annoying.
His Glalie, Weavile and Walrein both cried as they unleashed a bombardment of glacial frost that froze everything in their path. Ice spread and overflowed through the hallways of their base, and Archer didn't even bother to check if the other trainers were alive as he ran past the frozen bodies of humans and pokemon alike. He didn't have time to play around.
He slid along the ice, not halting in his advance towards what he had to retrieve, and his pokemon followed behind him, ready to defend at a moments notice.
Archer was about to reach his destination, but he had to withhold a groan of annoyance as a trio of trainers appeared in his way and he had to actually regard them with caution.
Because, their partners indicated that they were all fire specialists. Annoying.
"Give it up Executive Archer! You're outnumbered, and no matter how skilled you are you can't defeat all three of us!!"
He just raised an eyebrow at them, pulling a pokeball out in his palm to let them know that he wasn't the least bit threatened. That just served to enrage them though.
Surprisingly they all spoke in unison and gave the same order." Use Flamethrower!"
A Flareon, a Magmar and a Houndoom all jumped out from behind their trainers and prepared to attack as one. Scorching hot flames built up in their maws, and in a moments noticed they all attacked with a unified Flamethrower of boiling heat.
In the face of such a display Archer was utterly, thoroughly... not impressed.
Throwing the pokeball forward to meet the attack, he spoke with a calm tone." Block it Dewgong."
The pokeball exploded to reveal a massive Dewgong, a thick layer of blubber jiggling as they landed, and their friendly expression contradicting entirely with the situation at hand.
They noticed the fire and literally puffed themselves up to bathe inside the entire assault. Fire licked their skin, it raged against their fat.
Yet, they didn't react at all.
Archer had to fight against the urge to smirk at the sight of his Dewgong completely tanking the attack without even displaying a wince of pain. Thick Fat was such a useful abiltiy, it was truly a pity that so few trainers could notice what pokemon can really do if you train them right.
Ignoring the flabbergast looks of his fiery opponents, Archer gave his next order." Blow them away with Hydro Pump, join them Walrein."
His Walrein nodded as they leapt into the fray, joining Dewgong as they both unleashed combined Hydro Pump that put out any flames in it's wake and took out the three pokemon unfortunate enough to be caught in it.
The trio panicked and tried to reach for more of their pokeballs, but Archer desperately needed to move on. So-
"Freeze them with Ice Beam Dewgong!" They were fire specialists, the can probably handle a bit of cold.
His massive water and ice-type complied easily, unleashing an Ice Beam that froze the three humans with ease. The sound of ice cracking filled the room as the desperate expressions of his enemies were frozen in time.
Returning his two bigger pokemon, he hurried past them and entered the area where the items he was looking for were being kept and the door automatically closed behind him.
Walking into the empty lab, the spacious environment making him take a moment to find his target as his eyes zoomed in on a painting on the wall that he ran over to and ripped off the wall, uncaring of the damage he was causing, and revealed a safe.
With rushed haste he entered a pin into the wall which unlocked the safe, and he sighed in relief to see a suitcase stored securely within the safe.
Snatching the suitcase out of the safe, he smiled slightly when he saw that both of their prototypes were safe.
This was good. So long as he had them they hadn't lost anything that couldn't be recovered over time. The loss of manpower was unfortunate, but Team Rocket could persevere and bounce back in time.
But, as he pulled out his Jynx's pokeball to Teleport them all away, he froze when he heard a gruff and somewhat familiar voice call his name out.
"Archer of Team Rocket, surrender and you will leave unharmed. I will only warn you once."
Weavile hissed at their new enemy in response, but Archer couldn't stop the feeling of actual ice flooding through his veins as he registered just who had found him.
Standing with broad shoulders and a bare chest, a dark haired man with a ponytail stared seriously and unflinchingly at him with a Machamp by his side. He was well muscled with fair skin and wore a pair of bracers on his forearms as though he were planning to fight himself.
It was Bruno of the Elite Four.
Seeing him, Archer immediately gritted his teeth. He knew he was outclassed. Any Gym Leader and he could likely hold his own, but Bruno was on the tiny list of people who he would never put himself up against willingly. Just by looking at that Machamp he knew he was outclassed. His ice-types would be smashed to pieces if they battled it out.
Shifting his gaze to the suitcase in his hand, Bruno simply asked." What's is it that you were taking the time to retrieve whilst your base was being overrun? Getting away from so many trainers should be your top priority, yet you stop to get something from inside this lab. That tells me that whatever you're holding is important. What is it?"
Forcing a cocky smirk, Archer snarked." Maybe you aren't as much of a meathead as they say. As for what this is, why don't you try to take it from me and see what happens?" He absolutely did not want Bruno to try and take the Master Balls from him, but he couldn't back down at such a critical time.
Raising an eyebrow Bruno just spoke." You believe that you can overcome me and my pokemon? That's quite arrogant of you. Then again, I didn't expect anything else from Team Rocket. I'll only say this one more time. Surrender and no harm will come to you, not by my hand at least."
Archer put a hand to his chin in a 'thinking' position as he kept something hidden inside his palm." Sure, why- JYNX USE TELEPORT!!" He suddenly enlarged the pokeball in his hand, throwing it to the floor besides his feet.
Bruno's eyes widened as he ordered his fighting-type partner." Use Mach Punch!"
With unbelievable reaction speed, Bruno's Machamp flexed their muscular legs as a white aura surrounded their fists. Using the boost in speed given to him by Mach Punch, within just an instant he closed the gap between him and the psychic-type and delivered a powerful right hook to Jynx's face.
Archer watched as his pokemon was launched back by the blow, and spoke swiftly." Quick Glalie, use Ice Beam!"
Streaks of icy aura rained down on the Machamp, they crossed their arms to block the attack as they began to freeze themselves solid. But, their fist became alight with Fire Punch and the ice began to melt from the heat as Machamp released their arms cross position and cancelled out the Ice Beam.
Archer grit his teeth with frustration as Bruno pulled out a second pokeball and pointed it at him whilst declaring." Archer, Team Rocket will be done after tonight. And I will take you out personally. So, show me everything you've got tonight so I can show you my strength."
Archer couldn't help but feel his heart pound at those words.
It would take everything he had to avoid defeat. That much was certain.
