It's quite nice to look at a map as you talk about the history. It's much easier to visualize what's going on. I also like this "backstory to a modern conflict" thing, made me understand the ongoing situation much better. Backstories for modern non-conflict related matters would probably also work, idk what that'd be though off the top of my head.

I'm biased because I'm a paid subscriber but any format works for me, the main reason we watch your videos is because of your in-depth commentary. Any visual guides are always welcome but they are compliments to the story you tell us. For today's video I found pretty insightful the map display, specially because this topic is very geographic reliant. The slide format is fine. My inclination would be that anything that accelerates your video production without subtracting content quality is welcomed.
