The password for the Supporter Tickets is ben&matt
Please don´ t share this information with anyone outside of our small community as we have only a limited amount of tickets to give out. As we have mentioned earlier, the tickets are absolutely free of charge for our supporters. However, you will have to organize your travel (flights, trains, busses, accommodation, food, etc.) by yourself. A confirmation eMail will be send out once the registration has been completed. Due to security restraints of the venue, we only have a limited amount of tickets available (1 ticket per supporter). Please double check the date and if you can really make it to the event and let us know as quickly as possible if you will have to cancel your ticket, so we can give it to another supporter on the Waiting List. We will work with the people responsible for the tavern to allow more people to attend the event in case the demand becomes overwhelmingly high. Thank you very much for your understanding!
Now we would like to tell you a bit more about the first Activity that we have planned, the THE PALOOZA GRAIL!
The Palooza Grail is our Painting Competition and since we have been attending many painting competitions all across the globe in the past, we would like to do some things a little bit differently. There will be 4 categories: Single Miniatures, Busts, Dioramas /Bases and the Open Category. The most important twist about our competition is the way it will be judged: Every participant will be able to vote on every entry in the competition! For this, everyone attending the event will get a special voting card with a small voting square on all four categories. These cards are numbered and have great value as there is only one vote per person for each category. The registration of entries starts on Saturday morning. The entries will then be placed in their respective categories and all get their individual, continuous number. Then the public can take a close look and decide which ONE Miniature they think should win the respective Category.
*Note that we will post the Rules and General Terms of the Palooza Grail Competition in a later post. You will also find them attached to this post as soon as they become available.
At Sunday around noon, we will close the public voting and start looking into which entry has been chosen for Gold, Silver and Bronze by counting the votes they got. In case of a tie, the Head Judge has the final word. He (or she) will also have to choose one Best of Show Entry, which can differ from the vote of the people (but he also has to be prepared for the tar and feather treatment afterwards :D).
The "Best Of Show" Winner will be awarded the Paint-O-Palooza Grail, which is an authentic vintage one-of-a-kind Trophy created by Ben and Matt with a lot of love and sweat. We hope that there will be many constructive discussions between the participants about whom they choose to give their voice – and for what reasons.
We hope this sounds exciting to you. Please leave your comments, thoughts and sugggestions below, we are very excited and curious to hear them and hope that the technical side of things will also go smoothly.
Best Wishes,
Ben & Mat
