The bolter and the helmet will follow monday next week !

Seeing the extreme closes ups in this video I was wondering if that obviously bumpy/grainy texture from the initial primer coat is something you actually wanted and use or was that just an accident you were working around? I prime my miniature with an airbrush and my resulting surfaces are as smooth as the original plastic and I wonder what influence that has on the techniques you use.
